after everything.
Chapter Six.
Alex's POV
The air rushed out of my lungs and memories of that day with Caleb hit me like a bullet.
"B-Boyfriend?"
Jessica nodded happily and kissed Drew's cheek, entwining their fingers.
"He just asked me out last night."
I couldn't take anymore. I bit my lip, faked a smile and walked out of the room, throwing the necklace on the ground.
He moved on. He moved on. He moved on. I'm too late. I missed my chance.
No...
I locked myself in the bathroom and the tears welled up in my eyes.
No. I will not cry.
My feelings went away completely. It was exactly like what happened with Caleb.
I fixed my makeup and ripped open the bathroom door, walking slowly down my stairs to get to the party.
A few boys wolf-whistled at me and I walked over to one of them and started making out with him.
I heard another wolf-whistle and someone shout "Yeah! You guys, Alex the party girl is baaaccckkkk!"
That's right, I thought, I'm back.
Drew's POV
I awkwardly put my arm around Jessica as we walked out of Alex's room after a makeout session. Jessica's kisses were so sloppy compared to Alex's. I didn't feel that spark. But whatever, at least I was getting some.
Alex said she loved me...
The thought just barely crossed my mind when I heard "You guys, Alex the party girl is back!" Then I saw her making out with Jeremy, another kid on the basketball team.
She was on his lap and her skirt was riding up her thighs while his hand roamed further down her back.
Pain shot through my whole body and I gently let go of Jessica.
"Babe what's wrong?" she asked, trying to kiss my neck.
I pushed her away, careful not to hurt her.
"I'm sorry, Jessica. It's over. I..."
She crossed her arms. "Yeah, I know. Alex."
I sighed.
She gestured over to Alex and Jeremy. "But it looks like she doesn't feel the same way. Tough sh*t, buddy."
She turned around and walked straight out of the party. I looked back at Alex and Jeremy and they were still making out, but his hand had disappeared up her dress. I wouldn't watch anymore.
I walked over to them and pulled Alex off of his lap and yanked Jeremy to his feet.
"Dude, what the f--"
I cut him off, punching him in the jaw.
I've never hit anyone harder.
