May 25, Hope's POV
We walked to his house. He started cracking a joke, and as usual, i laughed. He looked at meand said "You have a beautiful smile." I looked at him and blushed."Thanks... I said sheepishly. I wanted to say you have the most beautiful eyes, but i chickened out. We were quiet the most of the way to his house, but I could see out of the corner of my eye, that he was glancing at me " umm..... Hope?""Yeah Jason?" I said a little too eager. " I kinda wanted to ask you something..." " Yeah? Hit me." "uhhhh... well... do you wanna... hang out... you know... after we finish the project?" he said nervously. Shoot! I actually thought he would actually ask me out. But who am i kidding? Out of the 7 years I've known him, I've never seem him so nervous! He seemed... not himself. "Jason, are you okay? You don't seem yourself," I asked him. "I'm fine, I'm just kinda nervous. I wanna ask a certain girl out, but I don't know how to exactly ask her. Your a girl, right?" he asked innocently. "Well, that's what it says on my birth certificate, but feel free to tell me if I'm wrong." I replied. That got him smiling. I always know how to cheer him up. "Well, I've known this girl for a long time, and I know her like I know myself. I'm just.... I'm so nervous. I really like her. I've never felt like this before. I was gunna ask her out today, but I've never been so nervous in my life!" I giggled. "I've noticed." He laughed. "Tell her how you truly feel about her. Tell her you accept her for who she is and only want to change her last name. That last phrase will make her swoon. And then, if your feeling romantic,
and she says yes of course, lean in for a kiss." I replied. "thanks Hope" he said. He leaned in to hug me and for a minute, we stared into each other's eyes. His eyes. It was a mixture of a grayish blue color and they made me melt inside. "This girl's a lucky one, Jason," i whispered in his ear,"She's lucky to have a sweet, caring, and loyal guy like you." He smiled and said...
