I'll be 16 in September and it took me a while to get my mom to be okay with this stuff. Honestly, I was doing a lot of it (tampons /make up /other stuff not on your list) without her permission. And she wouldn't let me have contacts either. She got mad when she figured out that I was doing all this behind her back, but I (being the smart that I am) told her that if she had let me do it in the first place I wouldn't have been lying to her. Her parents made her wait till she was 16 to wear make up and date. She was never allowed to dye her hair, but she did perm it a lot. And her older sister told her about tampons (without their mother knowing). Basicly I pointed out that she could help me more by letting me learn for myself, and helping me out doing these things, rather than keeping me from doing them. I asked her why I couldn't in the first place. She just didn't want me growing up too quick. Well...I got contact this year, and have been wearing make up (with her knowledge) since I was 13. I can dye my hair, but I don't want to, it's pretty how it is. :) Take your mom's advice. Don't try to change yourself all at once, but talk to her about it, and see if you can get her to let you do some of the things you want.

On this page, credit is given to it's rightful author, Robert Frost. Not Bella Swan. Not trying to be a , I just LOVE this poem, and (I don't hate Twilight) I just have issues with the series.
