I kinda know how you feel. I've liked this guy for over a year so it's not nearly close to how long you've liked this guy for. but, I think you need to just like ignore him. it's the best way to get over him. Act like you don't care what he does or says and then you won't. Hang out with your friends and just be happy. It's gonna be so hard but it'll be worth it in the end (if this is what you really want) of course you can still be friends with him if you want but just lay low for a while and you'll soon forget about him. if u try to kinda 'delete' him from ur life it will help a lot. I agree, do what makes you happy. if they're really you're friends they'll support you're decision. don't stop liking him just because they hate him because it hurts if you do. I learned that the hard way :)
