when there's love you just KNOW. a lot of people t h i n k they've experienced it, but they really haven't. true love never ends in heartbreak. true love is a special, rare thing. it's beautiful like a spring flower blooming. it's as mysterious and lovely as the dark sky dotted with silver stars at night. it's as heartmelting as ... nothing you've ever felt before. love is when a guy tells you you're beautiful, not hot. love is when he takes you out like a gentlemen, not just to kiss. love is when you always want to be around him, no matter what. it can be him helping you with your homework, or him kissing you. it's all the same. when he walks in the room, you start to glow. you feel prettier. when he smiles, your heart jumps a thousand feet into the air, and never wants to come down. love is when you love every single thing about him, the way his hair falls into his face, the ways his eyes sparkle. love is when you love even his faults. his inability to play soccer, when you're the star. his slight disorganized problem, when you're the most organized girl around. love is when you even love THAT. do you believe in the phrase love at first sight? true love is like that. you see him and you just know. it's not as dramatic as the movies, or the romance books. it's subtle at first. you have a little feeling like a butterfly fluttering inside your chest, but you may not even feel it. you may mistake it for being queasy, or something. love is when THAT happens, from the first time you see him. love is a single rose on a starlight night. love is like a flickering candle in the dark. it looks like it may go out any second, but it doesn't. love is when you don't care what other people think of him. you honestly don't give a damn if he's popular, or a nerd, or a jock, or a dork. he's YOURS. and you want everyone to know that. love is when he is your best friend. love is when you can't stand it when he goes off to camp in the summer, and you think you might just drop dead right then and there as you watch him leave. love is when your heart stops beating, then all of a sudden starts beating faster than you've ever felt before in your life. love only happens once. true love only happens once, to be exact. lots of people misuse the word love. when a guy says "i love you", 99.9 times out of a 100, he is either lying or not sure of it. if you are truly in love, he doesn't NEED to say "i love you" to make you sure of it. he just knows, and YOU just know. if a guy breaks up with you, it's not love. if a guy cheats on you, he will never find love, and if he DOES, he's too stupid to hold onto it. love is when a guy tells you the truth, that you look horrible when you really do. but when you look beautiful, he sure as hell lets you know it. love is when you don't need to dress a certain way or do your hair a certain way, or wear makeup around him. he doesn't even notice. you can wear old baggy sweatpants and a worn out tee, and he doesn't care. he could be a romantic guy, and he could not. if he is, he'll blow you away with the roses and cards and songs and heartfelt poems. if he's not, just know that although he can't express it in words, he is saying them over and over in his heart. he shows you he loves you in his own unique ways, and that is different for every single person on the planet. but if you're really in love with him, you'll just KNOW when he is secretly saying " i love you" . love is everything and anything and the only thing that matters in your life once you feel it. love doesn't have to be with a boyfriend or husband. it can be with a best friend too. you know you can tell them ANYTHING. it's exactly the same feeling.
love is a magical thing.
don't use it selfishly.
