heyy. sorry it took me a while to respond. but i'm here to help now.

first, i want you to take a deep breath and realize that people are people and you can always find more. do not let them change you. and with these clique things. they suck . there's no denying it. but they're all cowards looking for a place to feel comfortable. you're the lucky one for not having a specific group. i have a best friend, and she's amazing. and then i have a couple other superclose friends that are my best friends, but i just like chelsea best. then i have a lot of friends from all different cliques- the cheerleaders and the smart kids and the jocks and the emo's and the ghetto kid's and every other group you can imagine. but they aren't my best friend. they can trust me with everything but i keep them at a distance so they can't hurt me because i don't need them. you should do the same. you don't need a group to hide in. you need a variety of people to keep you interested. imagine if you spent all your time watching the same TV show over and over again. the same thing is true with friends. you need mroe people to make things more fun. i don't hang out with any of them except for maybe five people on a regular basis. probably less. it's helpful to find a really great guy friend to hang out with. guys make such better best friends. they don't have as much drama or fitting-in crap as girls, and it's just great.

as for the parents. i can't be of much help here because i have quite absentee parents myself. i mean they care about me and love me and make sure i have food to eat and i'm not seriously depressed and don't fail out of school or anything. but they don't really pay attention. they barely know anything about me. they aren't even home half the time. all i can say is that you should just have a serious conversation with both of them about how you feel. if you can stay calm, even if they start flipping out, it would be great. find a night where they aren't busy at all and just start the conversation. it might be hard at first but once you get into it it's so much easier to talk. and they might get mad and defensive at first. but you just have to sit there calmly and let them settle down. let them yell a little first or be mad but do not let them leave. tell them that you aren't going to fight over it because it's how you feel and if they need a minute to calm down they can but you are going to finish that talk. i hope this helps, and if you need anything else at all just let me knoww.
