Prove It...
Chapter 6
Lexi's POV
The brunette seemed to be the officer "in charge" of me, because again he came to my cell.
I glared at him from the bunk I refused to call mine until he was standing right in front of me. I peeked around his tall frame to see the fat officer who had taken me to see my parents a few days ago leaning against the bars from the outside.
"Get up," the brunette said gruffly.
I narrowed my eyes at him, "Haven't you ever been taught your manners?"
He just smirked at me, "We need to take you to for interrogation"
"Interragation?" I asked.
"Yes, we need both your information and word about the death of your sister."
I raised my eyebrows and glared at him, "You want information? I didn't kill her! You want my word? You're all stupid for thinking I would do that! I'm not even eighteen yet! I'm technically still a child!"
"Just get up, they're waiting for you."
I stood up and poked his hard chest, "You can interrgote me all you want, but the facts are the same. I. Didn't. Kill. Her."
Suddenly, he grabbed my wrist and held it firmly in front of him before grabbing the other and snapping handcuffs on.
"Don't they go behind me?" I asked, never breaking eye contact with him.
Once again, he smirked, "It's not like you have anywhere to run."
***
The brunette and this tiny blonde lady stood in either corner next to the door while I slumped in my chair. A man with greying hair sat across from me, tapping his fingers against the wooden table in a random rhythm.
"So," he started with an emotionless smile, "I hear you prefer the name Lexi?"
"Only to my close friends. You can call my Alexandra," I replied blandly.
"Really? I was speaking with your family when they visited a few days ago and they informed me you didn't think that name matched your personality enough. They said you liked Lexi more."
"Well, it's not like you know me, so what difference does it make?"
"Alright. Then, maybe you'd like to share something about yourself. Why don't you tell me about your relationship with your sister?"
My eyebrow arched, "Look, I've watched enough police shows to know that all you want is a confession from me. And the only confession I can make concerning this situation is that I didn't kill her. Have I not said it enough times?"
He pursed his lips, " Tell me, Alexandra, what happened on the night of the 18th of May?"
"MY SISTER DIED!" I screeched.
The door suddenly opened behind me and I whipped around.
"Officer Harrison?" said a woman with obvious alert in her voice.
The man with greying hair had a look of confusion on his face, "Yes?"
"Something was just found next to the front door. A document. It's about the Katherine Grims case."
