Sincerely Summer,
Chapter 1
She lay there between the thick covers, resting on her blood stained sleeves. Music blasting loud from the stereo so no one could hear her screams and cries. Her parents stood outside her door pounding for her to turn the music down. But she couldn’t hear them, she couldn’t hear the music; Summer wasn’t even breathing. Her father busted through the door with a leather belt in his hand and hit summer with it across the back. She didn’t move at all, he rolled her over to find blood stained sheets and clothing and a razor on the floor beside the bed. Her throat was sliced and so were her wrist. Blood was every where, even splattered against the hot pink walls of Summer’s bedroom. Summers mom covered her mouth with her hand “OH GOD! We have to do something.” Summer’s dad stared at the mom and then walked out of the room with little concern back to watching the football game on the flat screen TV down stairs. Summer’s twin winter still hadn’t arrived home yet from school. Karla came rushing down the stairs screaming in the phone to the police for an ambulance. Dan rushed over and threw her against the wall knocking the phone out of her hand. “Don’t call those people into our house, they’ll take us away are you ignorant! You lousy, no good for nothing, piece of crap!” Karla lay there on the ground in tears, the cops heard it all. And now they were on their way to uncover the truth.
