I miss the days
When boys had cooties
When it was a reward to have lunch with your teacher
When the coolest technology you had was a tamagotchi

When the best P.E lesson involved a colored paracute

When decisions were easy and chosen by "enie, meanie, miney, moe."
When only skinned knees brought tears
When goodbye only meant until tomorrow
When your clothes didn't need to match
When the only race issues were who could run faster
When all that mattered was getting to the swings first
When drugs meant medicine
When drinks meant kool-aid
When the biggest rumor was about what somone ate for lunch

Break down,
We all have those moments.
Memories that flash through our minds.
Some are good, and we laugh/smile instantly,
holding onto that precious thought.
Most are bad.
Nightmares that haunt our mind, even when we’re awake.
They make us sad, depressed, mad, confused.
I personally don’t like that moment,
where that one good memory turned into a regret.
When it’s stuck in our mind, we shed a tear,
warping into this state of mind where we become depressed.
Sometimes thinking of something else helps,
but I always remind myself, it’s never going to go away.
It’s our thoughts and memories...

We have this idea
that love is supposed to last forever.
But love isn’t like that.
It’s a free-flowing energy
that comes and goes when it pleases.
Sometimes, it stays for life;
other times it stays for a second, a day, a month, or a year.
So don’t fear love when it comes,
simply because it makes you vulnerable.
But don’t be surprised when it leaves either.
Just be glad you had the opportunity to experience it.

I have a hard time
accepting who I am,
It’s not just the looks
but the way I act and feel about myself .
Sure complements make me feel better
but sometimes I don’t really feel that way .
Sometimes I wonder why I act how I am and
how I became the person I am today .
Sometimes I wish I was more attractive
and sometimes I feel really confident about myself .
But most of the time I have low self esteem .
And hearing comments and opinions from
other people make things either
better or much worse .
It’s hard...

I’m the type of person
that won’t say how they feel when something’s wrong.
I’ll stay quiet about it and eventually
let the pain, jealousy, etc,. build in.
Then one day I’ll end up breaking down because
I just couldn’t hold in my feelings anymore.
I want to say something…
I want to say what’s on my mind..
I want to say that I’m not okay…

When I go somewhere
with my significant other
I want to hold their hand at all times.
