I wish to be someone else,
Just for a day.
To wake up and say,
'It will be okay.'
But when I wake up
The world puts me down.
Laughs in my face,
it makes me frown.
So I glue on the smile,
and try to get by.
My past breaking me down,
even just for a while.
I want to stop time,
put it on pause then hit erase.
But life isn't easy,
Nothing ever is.
We learn, that nothing.
Nothing was meant to be right.
Just pain that washes down the drain,
Red water, and silent crys.
Help us stay who we are today.
