I'm a lot different than a lot of people
I don't where make up or hang out with my friends on a friday night
Really, I have no life
I dance every single day of the week
and read and write all the other free time I have
I fall easily and crumble in the snap of a finger
I'm a huge nerd and I love nerdy guys to death.
I cry a lot (not in front of people)
I'm a talentless dreamer
I have fifty million layers of myself, I can't even tell what kind of person i am.
I only have a few real friends, two i haven't seen in over a year.
I can't wait to grow up, so i can actually do something with my life.
Sometimes the closest people do me let me down.

So I found this booklet in my sister's room.
It was a song booklet in a CD case.
It contained a whole set of songs that was picked by her boyfriend.
Each song had something to do with their relationship.
And for each song there was a whole paragraph about the story of them and the story of how he fell in love with her.
Everyday I'm caught up in books and reading about love that isn't real.
But this, this was living proof of love.
It was the living proof that there will be light in that dark tunnel that we're all stuck in

Sometimes I feel like my childhood was stolen away from me
My favorite song that i grew up to was covered by Jay-Z and now I hear it everywhere as a pop/rap hit...
My childhood best friend and I swore we would always be friends, now she's three hundred ten miles away from me and has slowly slipped away...
My sister who had always been there is now in college and is too busy for me...
All the expectations have risen and I just can't keep up...
Everyday it's harder to see myself in the mirror
Everyday it hurts just to see everyone I once knew struggle and turn away from me...
It kills me to think that I and so many others took it all for granted
...and we all just couldn't wait to grow up
