F[sh]ame and [mis]Fortune
Why did she chase fortune and fame?
all she got was misfortune and shame.
She has no one,
cold and on the run.
I see her walking down the street,
trying to keep her figure discreet.
I know it's her, broken and beat.
She's hardly able to walk on her feet.
I try to help her but she pushes me away,
she needs a place to stay.
She can't stay on the street,
where she know's she'll get beat.
All I see is her beauty,
and I give her pity.
Her face is running with tears,
I wish I could erase her fears.
She needs to be shown care,
not another beating she can bear.
She's the girl who moved in 2nd grade,
the girl whom I've loved every day.
I've finally found her again,
she won't slip from my hands.
