wait, you can't actually seriously really think that the friendzone is a real thing... just fyi, a girl does not owe you a romantic relationship no matter how close you are or how you feel about her or how nice/kind/generous you are to her... i think the term "unrequited love" is a little healthier and less mildly obsessive than terming yourself on social media as "friendzoned".

I never said that she owed me anything. All you know about me is my username. Did you even read my profile? I explained there that the love of my life is also my best friend. And when she learned that I was in love with her, she slowly began pushing me away, and I'm absolutely broken over it. No, she doesn't ow me anything at all. No, I don't expect her to love me back, but you have to understand that it /hurts/ that she doesn't love me back. And yes, I know the term "unrequited love" fits better, but you shouldn't judge me for choosing to use the more common term of "Friend zoned". Thank you.

I feel your pain... Falling for the best friend sucks.. I should know, I've fallen hard for them twice both time my love was not returned... (Sigh), I hope you have better luck. Besides, I think that the term "Friend Zoned" is very interesting. I wonder where it came from...

You obviously have never been friendzoned. The love of my life does not feel for me, what I feel for her. She is a girl I could spend the rest of my life with. She is beautiful, charming, witty and fun. She and I know each other better than we know ourselves. We grew up together. She doesn't love me. To me, I'm like her brother. It breaks my heart every time I look at her. I don't want to lose her as a friend, but every time she sees that look in my eyes, she pushes me further and further from her life. Don't say such things, the friendzone does exist, and it eventually leads to the unfriendzone.

Try touching her. I've friend-zoned guys before and the key to me changing my mind about them was that they started hugging me more and started getting closer to me and putting their arms around me more. Also, being there whenever she needs you is also good. Just some tips :)

A lot of people (including myself) find the term 'friend-zoned' very pathetic
I am not insulting you, but friend-zoned is basically someone acting like a victim because the person they like doesn't like them back, when they have every right to not want to date someone.
The phrase you're looking for is 'unrequited love' which is when you love somebody but they don't love you back, it's a better term because unrequited means a feeling that is not reciprocated.

Just thought I should say, I'm sorry if I sound rude.

If you read my profile, you would understand that I feel like a victim, because the love of my life does not love me back. She thinks of me as a brother, and nothing more. I love her. Very deeply. And she cares for me too, but not in the same way. And now that she's learned my feelings for her, she's begun to push me away, and my heart is broken over it. Unrequited love is a good way to put it, but I don't feel like you should judge me for using the more common term of 'Friendzoned'.

you couldn't have said it better. i hate when guys try to make themselves look like a victim when really, the girl probably has a very good reason for not returning their feelings. i would recommend giving the girl some space and to not pressure her into a relationship she doesn't want. let her mull it over and if she's really not interested then have some dignity and walk away.
