A little boy from my town died last Thursday morning. He was 8 years old. He was energetic and amazing at everything he tried. Just an average little kid. It was unexpected, following a "brief illness". It was a fever. Just a fever. And now he's gone...
He was a gymnast, played street hockey, and flag football. I have an 8 year old brother. Just thinking that it could have been him scares me. Today I went to my brothers football game. His parent's were there watching their eldest son's game. The league had a moment of silence before every game. I have never seen so many little boys in tears. Knowing they will never see their best friend, their brother, their classmate again.
