Farewell
Based on a future story.
"Velvet?!" I called out to find my cat. "VELVET?!"
Where had he gone? I counted my cats, 41- there were supposed to be 42.
I don't know where he went. I lived alone in my house with my cats, they are all I have. Where had Velvet gone?
I walked into my laundry room and gasped. There, Velvet lay with a box full of cleaning supplies on him. He was dead. Velvet, my beautiful cat was dead. I drop to my knees and started to sob.
"WHY?!?!" I yelled, tears streaming out my eyes. Voldemort and Tumblr, my two gray cats came and sat next to me, like they were crying too. I placed my hands on my head and wept some more.
I had a funeral for Velvet later that day. All 41 of my other cats sat there, quietly mourning the loss of their friend and for some, brother. My black cat, Witty meowed a prayer for Velvet.
After I finished covering him in dirt, I whispered,
"Farewell."
The next day I went and got a new cat. I named him Velvet II.
