Hey guys
Who knows if any of y'all will actually read this, but here goes:
I want to encouage you. Each and every one of you.
I've been there. I've never been on a real date. I've felt fat. I've starved myself. I've cut myself.
I've felt like I didn't have any friends. I've felt alone. I've hated myself.
I've felt insignificant. I've felt in the way. I've felt annoying. I've felt dumb.
I don't make good grades. I'm constantly fighting with my parents.
I've been told I was fat. I've been told I was obnoxous. I've een told I was a brat.
But you know why I get out of bed every morning?
Why I face the day and go to school and laugh with my friends?
Why the smile on my face isn't fake anymore?
Because my past is behind me. I have a future before me.
Things are hard, and they always will be. That's part of the deal. Part of life.
But things improve. People you don't expect come into your life.
You find real friends. You begin to build an identity for yourself.
Middle school, high school, they're only seasons.
I am certainly not the same person I was three years ago, are you?
I am almost 18 years old, senior in high school.
I didn't give up because I believe I have a future. I believe you have a future.
Go to college. Fall in love. Find yourself.
"Ugly" is relatve.
We compare ourselves to the people around us all the time, but I have a secret for you.
SSSHHHHHHHHHH promise not to tell? Okay, here goes.
Nobody's perfect.
Wait, what? Nobody's perfect?
What about that soccer player who got the scholarsh-

Yeah, but the girl who is always on her phone? She's got to have lots of fr-

Okay. So that girl who's parents pay for her good grades? She's really smar-
NOBODY
Do you hear me?
Nobody is perfect, or even mildly better than you.
His girlfriend? Maybe she's dyslexic. Maybe she can't match a pitch.
We're all flawed in some ways.
Short girls wish they were like tall models.
Tall girls wish they were like small cheerleaders.
We try to squeeze and smush into this mold.
This stencil that soiety tells us we have to trace.
We have to have a flat stomach, big boobs, and straight teeth to survive high school!!
IT'S ALL BULL
In the real world, who cares what you look like?
Does your career choice care how many friends you had in school?
I'm here to tell you all that it gets better.
It doesn't feel like it, I know. But it does.
I wouldn't be here right now if things didn't improve.
I am living proof that life is worth living. It's worth preserving.
You are a treasure, and you will mean the world to somebody, even if you don't feel like you do today.
My Dearest Wittians,
You're all beautiful.
You're all taleted.
You're all wonderful.
AND YOU'RE FABULOUS. FLAUNT THAT BABY.
