It scares the living crap out of me that there are some girls my age with children. Like, how do you even deal with that? I can't even keep my Sims alive without cheats.

Plot Twist: All exams get cancelled because the government finally realizes that they are actually just marking students for their memory and not their intelligence and teenagers should be experiencing life and having a good time instead of sitting and memorizing stuff that they're not going to use in the future.

My friends and I started the first day of kindergarten with sweaty palms and runs in our tights and Dillon got bashful when he saw me get on the bus and hid his head in the seat. And Michelle and I played dress up for hours in her mother's closet talking about what it would be like to act like the big kids. My friends and I started the first day of middle school with sweaty palms and new jeans and Dillon and I kissed under the jungle gym last year but he liked another girl more than me. And Michelle kissed all of her big brother's friends and tried to be just like the big kids. My friends and I started the first day of high school with sweaty palms and big text books and Dillon has been dating Hannah for two months and gives me look in the hallway. And it seems like Michelle has been trying to play dress up in her mother's closet again and all the boys look at her and she loves it and it seems like no one will take you seriously unless you're a big kid. My friends and I said goodbye on the last day of Senior Year with fond memories and our graduation caps and Dillon took his own life last year because Hannah forgot they were dating for a night. And Michelle stays home mostly now because her baby needs her more than she needs her degree and it scares me now because we are the big kids. Not mine/Tumblr/Follow for a follow

i love how the two most cited love stories of all time are romeo & juliet and titanic and they both involve teenagers who knew each other for less than a week

Adults. They think they know everything we're going through. They think just because they were our age once that they know how we're feeling, and what we're going through. But, that couldn't be further from the truth. They don't know how we're feeling, we don't even know how we're feeling. We're teenagers. Our life is complicated, and can change faster than we can text.

You know what's dumb? The concept of treating adolescents like children throughout the entirety of their teenage years and then, around age 17, doing a complete 180 and expecting them to decide within the next few years what they want to do for the rest of their lives.
Normal teenagers when they get in trouble: lol whatever Me when I get in trouble: OH GOD I'M THE WORST PERSON ON THE PLANET. WHY DO MY PARENTS STILL HAVE ME? WHY DO I HAVE FRIENDS? I AM A TERRIBLE HUMAN BEING. STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID IDIOT.

my mom told my dad "stop you're spilling pringle crumbs on the floor" and my dad looked her dead in the eye and emptied the can of pringles on the floor. i think my dad's becoming a rebellious teenager.

"They were just teenagers!" I don't know, man. I'm a crazy, stupid, reckless, and unstable teenager, but not once did I ever get the urge to kidnap, drug, r.ape, or mu.rder someone.

I think that maybe teenagers are so unhappy because of the naïve expectations they developed over a carefree childhood are now being relentlessly crushed and they're slowly realizing life isn't going to be so easy and you can't be an astronaut without a bunch of qualifications and they're really sad about that and that's why I think we should just start being really mean to babies and introduce the Hunger Games.
