~it'll be another official year. in a week for me to say i have lived this long after everything I've been through. I'm Proud, but for the love of God and the sake of everyone around me, please dont let me suffer on the day that means most to me by having to spend 2 hours with you around. i see you enough, why the frick does it have to be on the most important day that i'm stuck with you? Hasn't the universe already gotten much proof that im trying to get away from what i hated most? From the people that hurt me most? . . . From the objects that hurt me most? At least those 3 have taught me a lesson. You just gave me a demo of what hell would be like.~

The more you try to avoid suffering, the more you suffer, because smaller and more insignificant things begin to torture you, in proportion to your fear of being hurt. The one who does most to avoid suffering is, in the end, the one who suffers most.

Nobody will protect you from your suffering. You can't cry it away or eat it away or starve it away or walk it away or punch it away or even therapy it away. It's just there, and you have to survive it. You have to endure it. You have to live through it and love it and move on and be better for it and run as far as you can in the direction of your best and happiest dreams across the bridge that was built by your own desire to heal.

Those who suffer or are in some kind of pain, would give anything to not feel the way they are feeling.People who are sick, or depressed, hide their pain. We really don't want attention for the things we go through, we only want to express ourselves. Not so that people will notice us, so that people will learn from our stories. It is a special kind of person that can express their fears, dreams, and pain through a song, a poem, a sketch, or a story. I highly respect the people who can turn their pain into art.
Those who don't really suffer, and have never experienced being sick (whether its mental or physical) or have never been truly depressed, for some reason, think being in pain sounds cool or romantic. They promote their so-called pain and seek out attention for it. (promoting means you intentionally post triggering photos and messages of being sad and hating yourself. I am not sure what the point of it is, but I know people who promote pain are not trying to help themselves or anyone else...they want to be noticed, plain and simple, even if its from being negative or unbalanced) Depression is romanticized, there is no doubt about that. There is a major difference between self expression and self hatred.
People who have truly gone through something heavy like depression or mental illness, express themselves and share their pain, through being creative...attention is not the goal, self expression is....We don't feel like we have to share our experience, we choose to, we enjoy words, we enjoy the beauty of creativity, the sounds of hearts and minds being poured out onto a piece of paper or a computer screen or a canvas. People who promote self hatred, want to actually have depression or mental disorders, because they are most likely wanting attention, are really bored, or think being happy and normal is boring..That is just plain wrong. If you are depressed, get help. If you are not depressed, don't make it look beautiful, because its not
