I don't care how many guys Taylor Swift dates. Like, go ahead and date
every single person on the face of the earth. My problem is when she bashes and publicly humiliates them. Like, yeah, people are going to break your heart, but you have to be an adult and move forward in a mature fashion and not do that kind of thing.

If you think a woman in a tan vinyl bra and underwear, grabbing her crotch, and grinding up on a dance partner is raunchy, trashy, and offensive but you don't think her dance partner is raunchy, trashy, and offensive as he sings a song about the "blurred" lines of consent and propagating r.ape culture, then you may want to reevaluate your acceptance of double standards and your belief in stereotypes about how men vs. women "should" and are "allowed" to behave.

The problem with school isn't the students or anything like that.
The problem with school is that they expect everyone to excel in everything. That's just stupid. People are amazing at certain things and horrible at other ones.
    Honestly, it's like:
"Oh, you're not good in math? Well, who cares about how good you are in art! You need to be amazing at math! Don't you realize how stupid you are? Who cares that you can play 24 instruments? You aren't good at this one thing, therefore, you're stupid! You won't get far in life!"
It can even be the other way around!
You could be the top of your class in math, but (oh no!) you're just barely passing in History! Obviously you are a very unintelligent creature and need to be punished harshly for this horrific crime!
No. You don't need to know everything. Stop stressing people out who are already having a really hard f.ucking time just getting through life.

Things I don't understand about horror movies:
    1. Why do the people feel the need to say, "Hello?" in every
room. It's not like the killer/demon is gonna be all like, "Hey
yeah I'm in here! come in so I can kill you!"
    2. You only ran up a flight of stairs. There is no reason to be

    3. YOUR HUSBAND IS NEVER GOING TO BELIEVE YOU. JUST
GET OUT OF THERE AND LET HIM FIGUIRE IT OUT HIMSELF

    4. If the dog is acting weird and whining at random corners,
it does not mean he is crazy, it means you need to get the

    5. I'm pretty sure It's not even possible to trip over nothing

    6. Here's an idea, instead of screaming on the floor crawling

I remember what this website used to be. So many people would use it every day - not for drama, not for faves or followers or comments or anything like that. Top quotes could have up to 3000 faves, at least six/seven/eight hundred. Spam messages were pretty rare, and although you did get trolls, they were ignored pretty often. You could refresh the 'New Quotes' page every half minute and get tons of totally new quotes. The majority of quotes were original. The vast majority weren't made for faves, and many didn't get more than ten, but at least everyone made them. Top quotes were original and interesting - they were funny, or cute, or inspiring, or memorable. Now what? Now top quotes get 300 faves, tops. Traffic's slow, people are spamming comments all the time, and more users are interested in having followers and faves than making decent quotes. People steal formats all the time, and most quotes are just copies off of tumblr or something like that. Troll accounts are the norm, stupid accounts for 'witty gossip' are around, people delete and report quotes and users out of nothing but spite, more quotes are complaints than any other topic. It's no fun to come on here any more. The great users, the beautiful format makers, the inspiring quote writers - they're hardly active. Many have left, either because it was time, which is fair enough, or because they hated where this website was going. It's not more than spite nowadays. & I wonder what new users think. I remember when I first joined, I thought it was a really cool site, but now it's just dull. It's just boring and annoying and sad. I'm genuinely thinking about leaving too, because even though I couldn't care less about how many faves this or that quote gets and my follower account doesn't affect my activity at all, I'm getting really freaking tired of trolls, spammers, idiots who can't take another person's opinion, drama, and all this unnecessary bull that seems to be the nrom nowadays. And I know that whenever people bring it up - because they have, I've read quotes talking about this exact problem - they're either ignored, or the quote is bombarded with idiotic comments like how directioners or witty-famous people ruined it. No! The fact is, no-one is favouriting stuff anymore. The problem is, very few users are writing decent, honest-to-god decent quotes. The freaking thing is, witty has become really freaking annoying. I hate it, and all I can do to change that is keep on using the website like I wish everyone did. Make quotes because you want to, even if the format's dull. Fave every quote you like. Follow whoever you want - it's not 'trendy' or whatever to follow two people, it's just a choice and you don't have to do it just because a witty-famous person does it. Don't report a quote unless it genuinely needs reporting. Don't spam, because it's annoying and useless and stupid. If you want this website to go back to how it was, then stop complaining and stop doing exactly what you're freaking complaining about. Ignore the trolls, ignore the stupid 'gossip' accounts, literally use the ignore feature to block people if you hate seeing their quotes all the time. Ignore those who can't accept your opinion - it's your opinion and they're approval doesn't affect it in any way. To the idiots here, stop messing up this website. For some users, it's their (only) space to let out steam. Stop it, because if you don't, before you know it, witty won't have any amazing users left because you'll have driven them all away. Right. Okay. That felt good. #rantover

So, Hello people of witty, My name is Kierstin,
you may, or may not, know me as the witty user 'roseth0rn' but this is my new account. but this quote isn't about this. It's about something tragic that happen today.
So, I have a twin brother named Grayson. He's a pretty 'special' kid. He's done and been through WAY more than the average 14 year old. He was adopted for about 11 years, from birth to age 11, until his adoptive parents couldn't take care of him because they both lost their jobs. My parents put him up for adoption because they couldn't afford another child. But they took him in when he needed it the most. He was abused, verbally, by my dad (that was when he was an alcoholic, he's WAY better now.). Until one day he pushed Grayson and I down a flight of stairs. I actually don't if it was an accident. Grayson had some ' trauma' after it and had some issues. His maturity level was about a 5 year old. They put him in some special ed classes throughout middle school and for the first 4 months of highschool. He's SO much better know, it's amazing. He's my best friend. Grayson is also Gay, but he's not scared about it. He's a cheerleader and a lacrosse player. Him and his friends are in a band called, "P.S., You Suck.", they're an electro pop group. He's very cool♥. For some weird reason, recently he's been having ALOT of asthma attacks, we think it's because of the pollen or because he gained 40 pounds in 2 months. He now weighs 190 and is 5'8".
Today, was my dads 45th birthday and we went to my grandparents house to celebrate. We ordered applebee's and talked and stuff. We ate cake and opened presents. For my dad's present, me and Grayson decide to put on a cheering show. It was exactly 4:26 PM when we started, we started off with doing Arials, back hand springs, cartwheels and bridges. Right in the middle of Grayson 'flying' me, he collasped and started gasping for air. We had his in haler handy but he couldn't move at all and was grasping his chest. We called 911 ASAP and they took all of us to the hostpitial, he had a heart attack.
They did an emergency surgery right away. They put in a stent. After they put it in they let him rest. About an hour later, they let Me and my mom in his room but she had to fill out some papers so I went in. He was so peaceful looking. It was breathtaking, he then said to me
"Kierstin, I might die from this, just put it this way, I love you so much, you're my best friend. Tell Mom and Dad they were cool too."
And then he fell back asleep.
My mom made me come out of the room. She told me and my two younger brothers, Asher and Caleb, to go home with my grandparents.
On the car ride home my grandparents told me Grayson might not make it because he has a very weak body. In 3 weeks he's going to have a bypass surgery.
    Please God, Let Grayson survive.

I love how half of you little sh.ts think I give a flying f.ck what you think.
Newsflash, I don't f.cking care. I love it when you guys point out obvious things. I'm c.ocky? I'm rude? I'm full of myself? No f.cking sh.t. That has been adressed in the real world a long, long time ago. Those are all known facts that you do not need to point out. I am 100% okay with you guys insulting my personality because you're just little sh.ts hiding behind your computer screen trying to feel superior to a motherf.cking 15 year old.
However, I do have a problem with this.
I am not okay with you insulting my religion. I am not okay with you stereotyping me because of one of my ethnicites. I am not okay with you insulting my beliefs (which I have never even f.cking elaborated on so don't even act like you know everything about them).
    Newsflash!
Yes I am a Roman Catholic. I believe in God, that Jesus is my saviour, and I believe in the Holy Spirit. I believe the stories in the bible. Now, many of you will call me ignorant for this. I don't care if your Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, or all the other branches of religion I am not including because it would just be too long. I don't care if your atheist. If that's what you believe, all power to you! If I don't judge you for your religious affiliation, you shouldn't just me on mine.
    Newsflash!
Yes, my ancestors were Polska Roma. Polish Romani's. Romani's. Polish gypsies. Gypsies. Travellers. Whatever you would like to call them. Yes, I am Romani. But that doesn't give you permission to call me dirty, a thief, a pikey, or any other insult you want.
    Newsflash!
It is a known fact that I am against abortion. I have many reasons, many of which I have not elaborated on because they are personal and I don't need any of you knowing everything about me. Just because I don't believe in something, doesn't mean I'm gainst it. If a woman gets an abortion because of the right reasons, okay! Great! Good for her! Yes, I am against it. But I can understand why a woman would get one. I can support a woman who got one if it was for the right reasons. I can be against something and not want to make it illegal. I mean, I'm against vegetables, but do I go around trying to make them motherf.cking illegal?
This is a concept called being open minded, something many of you have yet to comprehend.
So, this iturned out to be longer than I intended, but it had to be said.
More than half of you need to learn your place and learn that it is not socially acceptable to insult people in the ways that you do, even if it is on the internet.

"You aren't old enough to understand"
No actually you aren't YOUNG ENOUGH to understand. Sure you are an adult, sure you've had experiences, but please tell me what it's like to walk into a building of 1500 kids nearly your age and not be liked by a single one. Tell me how you know what it's like to be seated in a classroom, students all around you hating you, throwing paper at you, mocking you, ignoring you. Tell me how you know what i feel because apparently age has something to do with that right? Come back to me when you take a walk in my shoes, and don't tell me you know more because of age, because i can promise you, you have no feelings for what is on my mind right now. I'm depressed, go get therapy. Is that what your "experience" told you to say? Because i'm sorry, but it makes it worse. So before you tell me i'm not normal, before you tell me i'm too young to understand, let me tell you one thing.
You aren't young enough to understand.

    You know what sucks?
I was a shy little idiot when I first joined this website three years ago. And at that time, it was so much easier to make
friends on this website (because people tended to comment back faster, and weird as it is, it feels like they used to be
a lot kinder too?) and there were all these adorable groups of friends of really cool girls that I looked up to. And now,
having finally moved out of my 'shy little idiot' phase into my 'lol idgaf' phase, witty's so inactive that it's freaking lonely.
I wish I had spoken out when I had first joined. I feel like I've missed out on so much. I would love to have all these cutesy
witty bestfriendships like I had hoped to, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen because there are so few users on here
nowadays. I'd be surprised if 2014 isn't my last year here, unless something changes. This place is bumming me out.

This is my opinon and the fact you may disagree cannot change that.
Quite frankly, people with low self-esteem are boring to be around. They are always negative, always putting themselves down in the hopes of receiving a compliment, always acting like everything in the world is terrible and it's all their fault.
    I know; I've been there.
When you're like that, it's draining. People don't like being around people like that. It makes the other person really uncomfortable because they're tired of having to convince you that you're worthy, every single day. They have their own problems!
So build some confidence, not just for your own sake.
