Lizzie: Ronnie broke up with me
    Gordo: He's a loser
Lizzie: No, Gordo. I'm the loser, okay? He likes another girl. She's probably prettier than me and she's probably smarter than me and she's probably a lot more fun than I am.
    Gordo: No, she's not.
    Lizzie: How do you know?
Gordo: Because there's nobody prettier than you, or more fun to be with.
    Me: I love you, Gordo
    Me: Where's my Gordo?
Me: Every girl needs a Gordo.

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, “What does love mean?”
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss”
    - Emily - age 8
“Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.”
    - Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

    - Tommy - age 6

So today in English, we got into groups.. We had to write a poem about forgiveness in the group.
We then had to read it to the class.
I was the only girl in my group
The guys made me read the poem..
I know you guys are probably like "big deal, you always have to read"
Well.. It is a big deal.. I suffer from all types of anxiety..
So when I had to read today, I turned beat red, started stuttering, and then i was being laughed at.
I ran out of the classroom as fast as i could crying my eyes out..
My best guy friend, Alec is in that class.
He chased after me and found me.
He said "Lexy, you're the most amazing girl in the world, why the heck are you letting them get to you"
I said "I am just an embarassment."
He said "Well do me a favor"
I said "sure what is it"
He got down on one knee
He then said "Do me a favor and be my embarassment at the Prom?"
    I cried..
He said "Oh and be my girlfriend too..
I think I am the happiest girl in the world right now...

    have you ever
just looked at someone and thought,
    "I really love you." They're
just talking or humming or watching a
movie or reading a book or
    laughing or something, and there's
    something about them in that
    moment - their body is
alive, there's a light in their
eyes, something - that makes you
think, "I just really love you." It's a
    weird sensation to think this
but it's pretty amazing that we can
feel this way about another being.

    when she was

    laughing about
    something that happened
    years ago.

we can change our lives any time we want
like you can just go ahead and travel the world,
    stop eating meat,
    shave your head,
    start running,
tell that person you hate why you hate them so much,
    confess your love to someone
    and kiss them unexpectedly
like w hy don’t we do that?

    Every night,
someone falls asleep thinking about you.
They toss and turn all night because they hate
the fact that the pillow they’re hugging isn’t you.
They want to be with you right this second,
but you’re clueless about the whole situation.
Playing these little scenarios in their head
hoping that it will actually happen
the next time they see you.
    That sweet voice of yours
is the only thing they wish to fall asleep to
    but they have this mindset
that you’re too good for them.
Your smile is carved into their memory
and they see it every time they shut their eyes,
    trying to go to sleep.
Then they quickly open it again in hopes
that you will be by their side this time.
And the only thing they want to know is
if you’re thinking about them too.

    a few important things:
    - most human beings do not naturally have a thigh gap
    - a thigh gap is not an indication of weight
    - thigh gaps are not dependant on weight, they are dependant on how wide your hips are
    - ribs and hipbones aren't meant to be very visible in a female human being who is a healthy weight
    - collarbones are not meant to jut out heaps
    - it's normal to have rolls on your stomach when you sit down or bend over
    - it is normal to have a stomach that curves out a little bit
    - most girls have stretch marks somewhere on their bodies; it comes with growing up and growing out
    - stretch marks are not a sign of being fat, they are a sign of growing
    - BMI charts are not accurate at all
-six-pack abs are not necessary to be healthy, be fit, or look good
    - eating whenever you are hungry is perfectly fine
    - the majority of girls have one breast bigger than the other (same goes for foot and hand sizes)
    - the best way to get a bikini body: put your body in a bikini
    - it is okay not to show off your body but it is also okay to show off your body as long as you're not mean to others about their bodies
    - your body is yours to do with what you want

    Have you ever
    met someone
and you were just like immediately attracted to them
not even in a sexual way
there was just something about them that you were drawn to
and you really wanted to tell them
and get to know them better
but you knew they wouldn’t feel the same way
so you just obsessed over them from afar.

    when i was ten,
my heart was too big for my body
and there was this boy in my class who i hated
because his hair was stupid and his smile was stupid
and i couldn't speak properly when he was around.
i found out he liked my best friend
and that made me feel a bit hollow inside
so i crinkled my nose and hated him more
even when he tried to talk to me.
(have you ever hated someone that way?)
    when i was eleven
our teacher sat us next to each other in class.
we laughed at everything with our eyes
    and everyone else got annoyed
i'd lie in bed texting him until i fell asleep
    (his hair was still stupid.)
    when i was twelve,
    i was freefalling into destruction,
but he could still make me smile
even when it hurt my heart to do it.
my dad was dying and my skin was scarred,
but he told stupid jokes that made it go away.
(maybe i dotted the i in his name with a heart.)
    when i was thirteen,
we only had one class together,
but we sat together every single lesson
and drew on each others' hands
and the teacher thought we were dating.
i liked another guy for most of that year.
(i never told anyone that i liked the first boy, too.)
    when i was fourteen,
    i dated a tall guy who i didn't like
because i didn't want to admit that maybe i was in love with my best friend,
who made fun of my boyfriend mercilessly.
i dumped him, but i never told him why.
    i'm almost fifteen,
and my heart is still too big for my body.
these are all the things i'll never tell him.

    Todays some a//hole on
    my bus decided that
it would be hilarious to take this boys shoe and start throwing it around. The bus driver got really angry and threw it into that little thing under the bus where you put your bags (I don't know what it's called.) You see, the bus driver thought the shoe belonged to the a//hole. The boy who's shoe was stolen (let's call him Bill) shouted out "Stop the bus!" and ran up to the bus driver so he could retrieve his shoe. The bus driver told Bill to sit at the top of the bus. Bill is my one of my best friends' brother. He is bullied constantly. My friend moved further down the bus, to hide the fact that she was crying from her brother. I moved down to sit beside her and she explained the situation. Her brother has Autism and other mental and physical disabilities. He was threatened numerous times. Someone even put a lighter to his face and threatened to kill him.Bill thought they were being nice to him. Their parents have no idea about this. From where we were sitting, we could here the people who had been making fun of Bill, laughing and joking about him. My friend started crying when they said a particularly nasty comment.
And then, the quietest girl on our bus stood up, turned around to face them and shouted; "Shut the f//k up you f//king a//holes."
The people who had been mean to Bill just stared at her, completely stunned. My friend started crying because she was so grateful. Other people on the bus started to agree with her and started shouting at the a//holes.
    Guess what Witty?
    That girl?
    Was me...

You tell her she's beautiful, she'll tell you "No i'm not."
You tell her she isn't fat, she'll tell you "Do you see this?" and pull out her gut.
You compliment her on her looks, she'll tell you "There's girls out there who look better than me."
Do you know why she isn't taking any of your compliments?
It isn't because she likes hearing it or wants you to keep repeating it,
but because she truly feels like she doesn't deserve the compliments being given to her.
She knows her own flaws better than anyone else,
and they stand out to her more then anybody else.
So when she looks at herself, she doesn't see what you see.
