Fire can warm or consume, water can quench or drown, wind can caress or cut. And so it is with human relationships: we can both create and destroy, nurture and terrorize, traumatize and heal each other.
“ Human beings are funny. They long to be with the person they love but refuse to admit openly. Some are afraid to show even the slightest sign of affection because of fear. Fear that their feelings may not be recognized, or even worse, returned. But one thing about human beings that puzzles me the most is their conscious effort to be connected with the object of their affection even if it kills them slowly within. —Sigmund Freud ”
Please leave format credit to 1986! The human being cannot live in a condition of emptiness for very long. if he is not growing toward something, he does not merely stagnate; the pent-up potentialities turn into morbidity and despair, and eventually into destructive activities. “
personally, i'm a mess of conflicting impulses — I’m independent and greedy and I also want to belong and share and be a part of the whole. I doubt that I’m the only one who feels this way. It’s the core of monster making, actually. Wanna make a monster? Take the parts of yourself that make you uncomfortable — your weaknesses, bad thoughts, vanities, and hungers — and pretend they’re across the room. It’s too ugly to be human. It’s too ugly to be you. Children are afraid of the dark because they have nothing real to work with. Adults are afraid of themselves. Oh we’re a mess, poor humans, poor flesh — hybrids of angels and animals, dolls with diamonds stuffed inside them. We’ve been to the moon and we’re still fighting over Jerusalem. Let me tell you what I do know: I am more than one thing, and not all of those things are good. The truth is complicated. It’s two-toned, multi-vocal, bittersweet. I used to think that if I dug deep enough to discover something sad and ugly, I’d know it was something true. Now I’m trying to dig deeper.
This world is dying around us, us the humans who care more about image and followers, numbers and things that wont matter soon. When the world ends you will cling to the nearest person to you, black, white, asian, mexican, or muslim. You will hold them and wish instead of staring at your phone you would have known them as a person. When the world burns...we all burn together.

"I wish I'd partied a little less. People always say 'be true to yourself.' But that's misleading, because there are two selves. There's your short term self, and there's your long term self. And if you're only true to your short term self, your long term self slowly decays."
“ After all, we are human beings; we are born full of guilt, we feel terrified when happiness becomes a real possibility, and we die wanting to punish everyone else because we feel impotent, ill-used, and unhappy. ”

Us, humans changed in the many generations. We have grown, to have weapons. Use it to hurt others. Mr. Nobel who created the TNT, wanted it for good. Now we are using it to kill people. We often wonder, why we don't see humanity. But when we see the works in our hands. Some people say, there's a reason why God never comes here. It's because, he's scared of his creations he had made.

But think of all the kindness of others. Your entire existence is based upon the unrelenting kindness of those around you. You were born naked, with nothing to call your own - even your body, your flesh and bones, was the merging of two other bodies kind enough to give you life. You lived, you thrived and grew, in a cramped but comforting space for nine months and still you were selfish enough to steal the food - the nourishment - of someone else. and yet, they were kind enough to let you - to feed and house you and spend months upon months in great discomfort. And then you grew, and still these people are kind enough to care for you. You are no longer cute, nor small, and yet they continue to feed you and clothe you and house you. Take a moment to marvel at the sheer kindness humans are capable of expressing.
how can a man have the heart (or lack thereof) to hurt an entire family because he was mad at one of them when he himself has a family. wife. children. I don't understand I don't understand you let your money take over your humanity there will be a special place in hell for you

How many of us store away our candid opinions in the depths of our overly labyrinthine minds, and for all of societies constant spews about freedom of speech, how many of us are confident with comfortably voicing our most honest beliefs?
