“ Listen to me: everything you think you know, every relationship you’ve ever taken for granted, every plan or possibility you’ve ever hatched, every conceit or endeavor you’ve ever concocted, can be stripped from you in an instant. Sooner or later, it will happen. So prepare yourself. Be ready not to be ready. Be ready to be brought to your knees and beaten to dust. Because no stable foundation, no act of will, no force of cautious habit will save you from this fact: nothing is indestructible. —JONATHAN EVISON
It's so easy to write about the pain It's so easy to let the negativity in It's so easy to rely on the bad and forget the positivity that is there You're alive You're breathing And against all the odds you thought was You're happy It's time to focus on the positive Time to focus on the good in life It's time for a change
. I . S U P P O S E . We can never get used to change. However – C H A N G E – can't be stopped. We can either go with it, or we get left behind. But in time tears will dry and fear will wear off. I believe that.

It’s when you hold eye contact for that second too long or maybe the way you laugh. It sets off a flash and our memories take a picture of who we are at that point when we first know “This is love.” And we clutch that picture to our hearts because we expect each other to always be the people in that picture. But people change. People aren’t pictures. And you can either take a new picture or throw the old one away.
There was a time in my life when everything lined up perfectly. I was on top of the world. I thought, "Life is easy!" Then came the time when no matter what I did, I couldn't seem to get it right. I thought to myself "Life is so hard!" After all that, I just wanted to sleep. "Wake me up when this is all over.." I would say. That's when everything changed and my life was simply unrecognizable. So I learned to ride the waves, appreciate the blessings, and see life for what it really was. -- An Adventure

This is an important lesson to remember when you’re having a bad day, a bad month, or a s.hitty year. Things will change: you won’t feel this way forever. And anyway, sometimes the hardest lessons to learn are the ones your soul needs most. I believe you can’t feel real joy unless you’ve felt heartache. You can’t have a sense of victory unless you know what it means to fail. You can’t know what it’s like to feel holy until you know what it’s like to feel really f.ucking evil. And you can’t be birthed again until you’ve died. — Kelly Cutrone, If You Have to Cry, Go Outside
