Dude (into cellphone): I'M GOING TO BREAK YOUR F//CKING JAW. THE NEXT TIME I SEE YOU, DO YOU HEAR ME? YOUR F//CKING JAW. I'M GONNA BREAK--hold on, give me a second. There's a lady walking by.

The Boston Marathon was bombed. There was an explosion at JFK library. Obama was almost sent poison. There was a fire and enormous explosion at a Texas fertilizer plant. MIT is under lock down because a gunman shot and killed a campus officer.
What. The f.uck. Is going. On.

So a guest speaker came to my school today and he said, "I've never been to this part of Boston before." Yeah, that's probably because you aren't in Boston.

I imagine bombings in places far away, not places I live 20 minutes from.
I was almost there. I know people who went. That's the scariest thing, that it was so close to home. Please, keep Boston in your thoughts and prayers.

after 26.2 miles, she still looks just as beautiful. congratulations on another marathon mum, you're absolutely amazing and I can't imagine life without you. we had a guardian angel protecting our family today. the bombs went off a minute after my mother crossed the finish line and myself and the rest of my family were very close to the area. it was terrifying, but in those minutes I thought I'd lost my mother and my best friend forever, I realized just how precious life is. I thought I might never get to see her again and all I could think about was "how can I go on without her" and "I should've said I love you more". I realized that life can be taken from you at any moment and you need to remind others of how much you care about them every single day. A guardian angel was watching over our family today. thank you for keeping us safe and congrats on another great finish mum, I love you so much.

    YOU'RE YOUNG,
    YOU'RE SAFE,
    YOU'RE ALIVE.
    You're lucky.
For the love of God, stop whinging about how your parents don't let you do stuff, how that guy doesn't like you back, the amount of homework you have, the petty problems that aren't going to matter in a year's time. People died today - not just in Boston, but in Venezuela, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Pakistan, Yemen and in other places that haven't been reported. There are problems in this world that you will never know first hand, and you are so, so lucky for that. There's a girl your age somewhere in the world who has spent her life worrying about whether or not she's going to get blown up or shot simply walking down the street, who could be killed for falling for the 'wrong' guy, for disobeying her parents, for daring to want an education.
Be grateful, everyday, for what you have.

    Who jumped the barricade,
    Helped rescue the victims,
    And then ran,
Another 2 miles to Mass General,
To give blood to help those injured in the explosions. ♥

Out of the three people killed in the bombing in Boston, one was a child.
An eight-year-old little boy called Martin Richard.
He was waiting at the finish line to hug his father as he finished the marathon.
His father walked on, he went back to with his mother, brother and sisters on the sidewalk.
    Then the bomb went off.
His six-year-old sister and his mother were both badly hurt
(his sister lost her leg, his mother has an injury to her brain)
but his father, brother and other sister were uninjured.
This is one family's story. One family whose lives will never be the same.
This is one story out of over 140.
