Chapter Five
“Woah,” he chuckled. “Wait, Shark Tooth didn’t-“
“He’s in jail,” I said and Niall smiled.
“Well you’ve… grown,” he said and I laughed.
“Just a bit,” I chuckled. “I turned seventeen last month and got my drivers license.”
“That’s good,” Niall said. “Anything else new?”
“Not really,” I said. “I’ve just been helping plan my brother’s wedding.”
“Oh yeah,” Niall said. “He invited me to that.”
“I heard,” I chuckled.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” he laughed.
“Imagine if you still thought I was dead and I was at his wedding,” I said and he laughed harder.
“That would be interesting,” he said and I nodded.
“Just kiss already!” Louis shouted and I laughed.
“I’d much rather be friends with the boy,” I said and Niall’s face dropped.
“Oh,” he said quietly.
“We’ve both changed a lot,” I said to him. “Besides we didn’t know each other very well anyway.”
~NIALL’S POV~
Of course she only wants to be my friend. I waited so long for her to come back, I knew she was going to come back even though everyone said she wasn’t going to, and now she has no interest in me. Wait. Yes she does. She obviously had some interest in me at the club yesterday… and after the club yesterday.
“I guess you’re right,” I said after she told me she’d rather be friends.
“I’m sorry,” she said and I shrugged.
“It’s alright,” I said and she smiled.
I love that smile.
~WES’ POV~
After an awkward half hour with Louis and Niall, I went back to Mariah’s.
“That was so weird,” I sighed and Louis chuckled.
“You so love him,” he said.
“I’m also so taking Andrew to Steven’s wedding and I kind of need to go pregnancy tests for next week,” I said, quickly changing the subject.
“You can do that with Mariah or Michelle,” Louis said. “I do not need to be mistaken for your baby daddy.”
“Thanks,” I said sarcastically and he laughed at me.
We arrived at Mariah’s and, when we walked in, I was attacked.
“You might be pregnant!?” Steven shouted at me and I nervously laughed.
“Where’d you hear that?” I laughed.
“Mariah,” he shouted at me.
“I’ll kill you later,” I said to my cousin and then I looked back at my panicking brother.
“Who’s the father?” he asked.
“We don’t even know if I’m pregnant!” I shouted.
“Take a test,” he said. “Michelle has some.”
“She does?” I asked.
“Yes,” Michelle said. “Just in case. Just go take it.”
“Fine,” I said and I went into the bathroom.
