I just sat there astonished , unaware of what i should say next.My mouth kept opening and closing .No words felt correct for the situation.I am one of those girls who will usually never shutup until making a fair
point .However , this boy had the talent to leave me speechless in a matter of one day .Than i saw Drew start to stand up looking rejected .A feeling of guilt fled all over me. I was feeling bad for thsi guy who was a jerk , who crashed my date , who was an amazing artist ,who called me beautiful. I just couldn't allow myself to let him walk away just like
that .I grabbed stood up followed him ,and grabbed his wrist .
"Wait ." I said stopping him .He turned aroind to face me.
At that moment Devon had walked in with a confused look on his face looking at our position and proximity he had a reason to be confused.
"Devon , I apoligize but i'm not exactly feeling well tonight ,and would wish to go home .If you don't mind could Drew walk me home ,so he can explain an assignment for class to me ?I really am having a hard time grasping the concept ."I said to Devon. Giving Drew a look , pretty much stating go with it or i kill you .
"Oh don't apoligize , you can't help the fact you're sick.You did seem a little out of it tonight. No i don't mind , but Drew please , control yourself."Devon responded giving him a hard glare.
"No promises Brother , let's go ."Drew responded with a wink.
"I'M SERIOUS!"Devon yelled at the closed door behind us. Causing Drew to burst out in the hysterics.
"What is so funny ?"I asked. Annoyed with him for some reason.
"Understanding an assignment ?Really?It's an art class ,and you have natural ability ."He said smiling at me as if i had just said something so hilarious.
"Yes learning an assignment , we do learn things in your class you know. When you're actually there you're a pretty good teacher.As for my so call 'natural ability' i'm alright. "
"In order for me to be a good teacher , always need something to work with. Rose, don't downgrade youself your ability is a lot better than 'alright' your art work is amazing.When i say this , i'm being serious this is not me kissing your a.ss. Well , maybe it is ,but at least it's true. "He said honestly plastered on his face as he stopped walking in the road just to stare at me as he said this.
"Thank You , i mean i've been drawing and painting ever since i was a little girl. When did you decide you liked art ?"I asked continuing walking downt he road toward the direction of the apartment i was staying at.
"Honestly?When my parents took Devon & I to the Louvre Museem. I remembered just being breathless by the extragavant art work surrounding me. "He responded.
"That's inspiring , i've always wanted to go to the Louvre "I responded.
"You've never been?!"He asked rather loudly as his eyes almost bulged out of their sockets.
"Shhh , people are sleeping .I'm american remember?No , i've never been . "I responded.
"I'm taking you tomorrow , after class .You have not option."He stated.
"Is that so ?"I asked with a giggle.
"Yes , you need to witness it's magnificance."He said .
"Alright ,alright .I guess i'm going being as i've had so much of a choice ,but i've got to go my apartments right there."I said walkign toward my apartment building.
"Alright , but rose one more thing."He said walking over to me getting rather close.He had me pushed up against the door.He leaned in and whispered in my ear his lips brushing against my ear.
"When i said you were beautiful , i meant it."He moved his lips from my ar down to my lips. In a light liss brushing right over my lips.It was a nice and soft kiss.
"Goodnight Rose"He yelled walking down the street.
"Night "I croaked out in response.
That b.astard just stole my first kiss. I guess art wasn't his only profession.
