chosen few on a pedestal and revere them,
believe them to be much better than you, regard them to the
point you wish to be like them, to be them. But humans are
humans, and humans will disappoint, humans will underwhelm, no
matter how bright a star they may blind your eyes from afar, no
matter how lovely the glow of their halo from a distance - up
close people disenchant, up close they are like you or me. They
get angry, they get anxious, they get irrational, they get
mean, they get paranoid, they get frightful, they get
judgmental, they get vindictive, and they will always, always
disappoint. Or worse; they will hurt you, they will damage you
beyond repair.
