I was in the same boat about three months ago and honestly in time it wont hurt anymore. Dont let the thought of what happened keep you down. He is a loser and isnt worth another second of your time. It sucks now and for awhile you will hear the song you used to sing along to and it will hurt but after time it wont even be a thought. Keep your head held high, keep the ones you love close, and keep things upbeat. I tried to stay busy, to keep the thought of him out of my head and it seemed to work for me but anyway… give it time, things have a funny way of working themselves out.

Loss of a relationship takes time to get over. Celebrate the fact a loser isn't wasting your time anymore; and now you can focus on being the person you want to be and developing deeper relationships! When you feel like you're in hell your thoughts are what will get you through pain. Keep your mind relatively level-headed and healthy and when your heart is ready it will follow! Listen to empowering songs and read compassionate poems and quotes. I don't even have to know you personally to know that IT'S HIS LOSS. YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you sososo much! It's going to suck though because I'm going to college this fall & apparently we have a class together so it's gonna be a little tough, but I'll manage to get through it 😊

Heartache sucks. There isn't really a method to getting over it, as the other comment said. You just have to think back to all of the times they screwed you over. Think about how many times they didn't text back, or replied with one word answers. Think about all of the time you tried to spend around them when they went skipping off with their friends, not saying anything to you. Think about how they never said hi, or how they flirted with other people in front of you. Remember that effort is a two way road. And once you find someone who gives you the attention you should've gotten all along, all of the memories from before will recede. There will always be days where it hits you like a bag of bricks being swung at your mid-section and you only breathe for the explicit purpose of sobbing on every exhale. But eventually, those days will become rarer and rarer, until you can't quite remember why you were ever sad at all. Eventually all of those memories will be something you look fondly upon, instead of being something that eats you alive.

Some people have the ability to make even ugly situations and feelings sound beautiful, and I think you're one of those people. Lovely advice. Couldn't have said it better myself.

If he was thrash to you then he wasn't worth your time, that might help but there isn't done magic cure. It takes time and heart ache. We're not made to separate after being that close. It's gonna be a long time till you're okay, just hold on to those you know actually love you.

That's really good advice, because it is really hard to get over anyone in general, even them. So just spend extra time with the ones who actually do love you. Surround yourself with them, it'll make you feel like you're loved and wanted instead of how you're feeling now.

Both when my dad and lover left all I could do was keep in mind that people loved me. Don't waist your time on those losers, cause they aren't worth your time, only those who truly love you can help.
