You should continue. This seems like a great, relatable story so far. If you're going to continue writing it and you plan on having self harm scenes, you should put
"MAY BE TRIGGERING TO SOME PEOPLE" at the top so if someone is easily triggered by things, they will see it and know. Just a suggestion.
