We had
one word. The
word that
promised us
the world, or
at least as
much of the
world I
wanted. Or
perhaps, you
were my world, as
you promised
me always,
I promised
you the same.
My always, my
happiness, my
forever. You're
always. But,
alas, came a
day when always
didn't sound
the same. When
your lips
contoured the
word always. You
didn't have
your little
smile, but
you painted
the word always
with no emotion
at all. So I
waited and waited, but the
day finally
came when you
left me
with a broken
always. But
when you left
always behind,
you also left me
a blind
revelation
Always is never
forever
