The sun shined down directly above them. They felt waves of warmth spread throughout their bodies and the way their hearts fluttered when they met eachothers gaze. His eyes were inviting and his smile was bright. Her golden waves were swept off her shoulder by the gentle winds and sent where ever the sun would shine through. Brown eyes met hazel ones, fragile hands met tough ones and broken hearts combined. The trees laughed and the flowers smiled and the birds sang a happy tune about the two kids who were once in love.

    But if you were to look for the laughing trees and the smiling flowers you'd never find them. If you'd ask the birds what happened to their happy tunes they'd reply with a low note and fly away. The kids who fell in love will tell you that they truly loved each other and they still do but a love like theirs only works when the days are warm and the nights are clear.

    Maybe one night, when you can see the stars, you'd hear her laughter and the genuine sound of "I love you." and you'd see her hair flying in the moonlight and you'd see his tough hands caressing hers and you'll finally realize how much it hurts to love another.
