Here's a word of advice
from a girl who's been there.
I know that a lot of Witty girls think that they're
"forever alone" or that they will never find a guy who
really loves them.
I know this because I've been a member of this website for
almost four years now, and I used to think the same way... up until
a week ago when I started college and met the most amazing guy that
I have ever known. Seriously guys, like he is so nice and kind to
me.. he brings me food and carries my things, and walks me to my
dorm room at night. We watched movies together, and ate together
and studied together... It's incredible how much this one guy
likes me. I'm
17 and in college and I'd never even held a guy's hand
until now because I've been waiting so intently for the right
one to come along.
The point I'm trying to get to here is that you may feel like
someone is never going to come your way, or that love will never
happen for you. You're lying to yourself. Your making yourself
feel like crap for no reason at all. I only wish I realized it
earlier---how unhappy I made myself over something that I just had
to allow to happen. I just had to trust the
process.
So Witty girls, if a guy is ignoring you, or treating you like
crap, or doesn't seem to care that you like them, maybe
they're not the right guy for you. Take it from me. I've
made every mistake in the book when it comes to liking guys who
never cease to ignore you. There's someone out there for all of
us, we just have to sit back and let it happen instead of trying to
force things.
You don't have to find love in middle school, or high school,
or even college... even though our society makes us feel like we
need to. You are independent intelligent girls who don't need
to wallow over a guy. Wait for the right one to come to you,
because they will.
