Please take your own advice. Whether there is or isn't a God or Gods is subjective and personal to each individual. How can you say that my opinion isn't factual when you are trying to pass your opinion off as being so? Saying something like that is offensive and you should have kept it to yourself.

The only way the BIBLICAL god can exist, is if he's not omnipotent, but he is good. Or he can exist if he is omnipotent, but evil. The DEIST god however, is much a more possible and believable theory than a personal god

I feel the need to say that because stereotyping people is pathetic and saying that someone's God isn't real is pathetic. I don't tell you that your God or Gods or lack of a God or Gods is pathetic. You're acting like every Christian is homophobic. Newsflash--most aren't. I'm a part of the Catholic Church, which is incredibly corrupt to be perfectly honest. A Catholic Church in my town has a rainbow flag displayed so everyone can see. One a few towns over does. I've had priests say that gay rights are human rights a while before the gay marriage debate became as big as it is now.
Christians are taught to love everyone. The ones who are homophobic "because of their religion" are just looking for an excuse.

Haha I don't think you quite understand. Your premise is that "I believe only Christians are homophobic." Which, by the way, is wrong. My premise on the other hand is that "those who use religion to justify there bigotry towards anything (doesn't have to be just homosexuality) are in the wrong." We're arguing on the same topic, but we're on different pages. By the way, I was raised Catholic, too

I was also raised catholic. But to be honest, faith is just a luxury I can't afford. I simply question things way too much haha.
By the way, I really hate to say this but not believing in the biblical god isn't really an opinion, because it can be proven he doesn't exist. Now a deist god however, is a completely different topic

Gay Rights = Human Rights
It doesn't matter if you personally don't agree with homosexuality, but the fact that you oppose gay marriage on the basis of your religion is ridiculous. America was founded on Freedom of religion. There's about 41,054,000
non-Christians in America, and you want to hold all of them to what you and your religion (out of thousands of religions) believe is right.

i somewhat agree with this. i have no problem with gay marriage whatsoever but some people do and that's their opinion, and i think thats fine as long as they can respect the lifestyles of others :)

I am currently being raised in a conservative home with conservative parents and I still support gay rights. There's this cool new concept called "forming your own beliefs" and "not just going along with everything your parents believe".
It's funny that you tried to reverse the question because by not supporting gay rights--you're the one not accepting the fact that everyone isn't like you.

Um, it actually is a horrible thing to be a homophobic. It's actually disgusting to be against gay marriage because it doesn't affect you at all. Two men or women getting married DOES NOT hurt you in any way shape or form. What if you couldn't marry the one you loved? What if your son or daughter was gay? Would you disown them? It is in fact very embarrasing that you honestly believe 2 people that love each other can't be married.

How can you choose to be attracted to someone of the same gender as you? It doesn't even make any sense at all.
Basically what you're saying is that I decided one day that I am attracted to male and females? That I choose to not care what gender someone is, because it doesn't really matter to me as long as I can love them?
How can you hate on love, honestly? How can you look at a couple that's in love and say it's "gross" or "wrong" just because it's two girls or two guys? The logic behind that seems to be non-existent.
If you don't believe in gay marriage, don't get one. Don't try to ruin it for other people. Since being gay is not a choice. Why would anyone in their right mind choose to be ridiculed frequently? Plus, even if it were a choice, it's none of your business what other people do anyway.
