That should be fine then if you get if done professionally. Just make sure you take very good care of it!

Don't get one until you're at least 16 (that's when I'm getting mine; 2 months woo hoo) because that's when you're body is pretty much done growing, so it won't tear skin or anything like that.

i got mine done a month ago, it kinda hurt getting it done for me, it was like a giant pinch, but if you wash it & dont really play with it, itll be fine, mine hurts occasionally. & infections can be really bad, youll have to take it out then get it re-peirced. thats what happened to my friend, but itll be fine if you wash it & dont really play with it that much.

Mine hurt like hell to get it done. I got it done when I was 17, and it stayed in for about a year, but it got really infected, and I was taking care of it but I had to hide it from my parents. Long story short I have a giant dark red scar on my bellybutton because it got rejected. It looks like someone took a chunk out of my stomach because of it.

I have a lot of friends who've got theirs done, and I had mine done about 18 months ago. It all depends on how well you take care of it. No one I know has gotten it infected. If you do get it done, you HAVE to get it done by a good, qualified piercer - don't get it done at the mall!!!!! Go to maybe a tattoo parlor that has a piecer.
Mine didn't hurt much, it was just a pinching feeling then nothing. Two of my friends actually got local anesthetic, so they didn't feel it at all.

one time i made the wrong decision to get my ears pierced at the mall and long story short the 20 year old got the gun stuck in my ear and they had to pry it open so they could get it off my ear

ikr i got my first piercing when i was i think 7ish and my 2nd when i was 8ish at one point i was thinking of getting my cartilage pieced but i decided not to and then another time i was thinking of getting my 3rd piercing on each side next to the other two, my mom says as long as i have have the money i can get it, but she'll only let me get my ears pierced, my mom is strange, i already have 4 piercings in my ears and i have dyed the underneath of my hair 3 times, two times red and one time purple which is now, the first two i didn't have to bleach it and the the third time i had to bleach my hair blonde first. She told me if i really wanted to i could have dyed it all purple or red or whatever color, YET SHE WONT LET ME GET A BELLY BUTTON PIERCING.

Okay imagine this, goopy, yellow green pus dripping out of you belly button for a few days, then a REALLY REALLY sore stomach that feels like its on fire for a few more days. That is what an infection is like. And it does hurt like hell when you get it done. Its one of the top unprivate part piercing that you can get that hurts really bad.

I heard it's best to get it in the winter so you dont have the temptation to go in public waters and to clean it often, and then you are likely not to get it

You REALLY don't want one so young... especially since you're still growing. I have two friends: one who got one when she was 18 and it was fine because she got it done right, and one who got it when she was 14 by herself. Yea, infection and pain.
