Guys, I'm going into high school in September! I'm just wondering what you guys (the people who are already in high school) experiences were. Like were they good or bad, cuz my middle school experience was not good, and I'm scared high school will be worse. And if you do give me advice, please don't sugar coat anything :)

Oh and if a senior or junior boy shows interest in you randomly, do NOT fall for it. Nothing good will come of it unless you really know him. Stay away. I have some horror stories with that.

I loved my freshman year! And sophmore, too. Junior year, though, oh junior year was pure hell in a hand bucket. So hard. I'm going to be a senior, though. It should be easy going. You'll love it, but when you become a sophmore, that's even better because then you can look down on the freshmen. Have fun!

Oh my gosh, yes! Finally someone to spill my wisdom too! Okay, don't get involved with those seniors boys! They are nothing but trouble.
You will go to as party with alcohol and drugs available and it may seem cool and impressive but if you don't feel comfortable just ask someone to take you home (who hasn't been doing anything!) Or call your mom/dad they will understand, they were teens once too. Your friends there will NOT think you're lame from not doing it like they try to preach in health class.
If you get a boyfriend, don't abandon your friends to always hang out with him, boys come and go, friends are forever.
Yes, some friends are forever, but some are not. You'll meet new friends and some friends will become distant. Don't try to grab at something that isn't there, just make new friends and show your old friends what they are missing.
Make friends with teachers, 1. Because, even though it sounds stupid, they will be there of no one else is and 2. Because if you get really close it's funny to hear about how drunk they got on the weekend.
Join clubs, lots of them! You might find a new hobby.
DRAMA IS STUPID. IT MAKES YOU LOOK STUPID AND NO ONE WILL TRUST YOU. Don't become that girl that has to know everyone's drama. It will create drama for you and it's not cool. In 4 years nobody will care if Becky kissed Brittany's boyfriend.
Let your parents know what's going on with everyone. It will make you guys closer and they will trust you.
GET YOUR LICENSE ASAP. FREEDOM IS EVERYTHING. Don't abuse that privilege though. Be home 30 min earlier than the curfew. Eventually you'll get more and more freedom. I did that now I'm a Senior and I don't even have a curfew anymore.
Get a job as soon at you can. Having money is amazing. Plus getting experience early is a good thing to have.
Do homework. Actually try to get the best education you can because this is your only chance. Sure you might have to miss a few sleepovers because of a final or a big project but it'll be worth it.
Overall, just try to have a good time. It will be better than it may seem. Hope this helps! :)

Im gonna be a junior and the last 2 years were really.... uh... so unexpecting. Heres Freshmen and Sophomore year in a nutshell:
I had a crush on my principal and vice principal.
I met my "BFF" but broke up Sophomore year.
More people have been hating on me.
Ok so. Freshmen year was really bad because or vice principal told us, "Freshmen year is the most important year of all the 4 years of H.S" I didnt believe him. I thought Freshmen didnt really matter. So... I failed English 9 both semesters so thats -10 credits. I failed Algebra second semester. -5=-15. I failed Earth Science second semester. -5=-20. So Freshmen year I missed 20 credits and THATS A LOT. Its not like my middle school were if we failed they didnt care, we would still graduate. So Freshmen year, I met this one girl and she turned out to be my best friend for freshmen year. We would always hang out and I would tell her my crush and she didnt judge me. So we hanged out all throughout freshmen year. I was hanging out with her instead of my other friends who I've known since 6th grade. If I hadnt failed my classes freshmen year, I wouldnt be having to go to summer school. Also since I had a crush, all I was doing was focusing on him. And trying to get him to talk to me. The start of sophomore was scary. Cause the guy that I hated in middle school moved into our class and I was like ,"SH#%#%" And me and my BFFF got into a fight so were nowhere near friends anywhere. And my crush has me FRIENDZONED! So I guess were just friends. So my High School experience has been so crazy and high school passes by hella quickly. Like...Im a junior already! DANG, It went by hella quick! So enjoy it. I also learned sophomore year that one of my friends drinks like alcohol and the other tried doing that electric cigarette. Dont do that kinda of stuff just because everyone is doing it. I find it really dumb because the popular people are the ones who smoke w33d and get drunk and party all the time. Thats really stupid.

I have a feeling High School is going to be a great experience for you. Yes there is definitely going to be a lot more work, however it changes your life. I was just a freshman but now I'm going to be a sophomore. In high school, you learn who your true friends are, or you find your type of friends. In middle school its harder because your at an unfamiliar place with new faces. Don't sweat it! The positives is you'll experience sweet 16's, Jr. Prom, homecoming, Prom, Graduation, etc. I honestly love it because you feel like you have more freedom, again no worries I'm sure you'll have a fabulous experience! Good luck! <3

I honestly enjoyed high school a lot more than middle school. I think you'll find making friends a lot easier in high school because everyone is a lot less focused on drama and popularity. Don't try to suck up to older kids. Don't be dramatic. Understand that things aren't and never will again be like they were in middle school. Don't let the social pressure get to you: no one actually cares about whether or not you're "unpopular." I wouldn't even stress out about it.

Realize that no everyone is your friend in highschool. People grow up throughout highschool. Freshman are usually immature but people start to change over the course of the year. You start to lose friends and you gain some. Try not to get into any drama. I just graduated and I was happy as hell. Its sort of bittersweet but enjoy it while you can. Go on your senior trip and your proms and stuff!! I didnt go on my senior trip but you just want memories. You want things to look back on like damn. Just learn from mistakes and be true to you. My highschool was nothing like what you see in movies so don't think it's like that at all. but then again not ever high school is the same. Make sure you actually learn in school. I was bad my fresh and sophomore year and i got like a 2.1 then i cleaned up my act junior and senior year and i graduated with a 3.2. It's good to be smart. It'll give you many more opportunities than the average person. It'll save you money too cause of scholarships and all that good stuff so yea try your best

Play sports, don't be stupid, hang out with the people who make you feel like yourself, and god forbid study and do your homework. Honors and AP classes will benefit you so much in high school and college.

i actually hated high school and i was moderatly popular so no matter what lol no i'm kidding i liked it, it wasn't terrible. i hated my freshman and sophomore years. junior and senior were the best. i didn't smoke nor drink, which was a huge thing in my school. never feel like you have to do something to fit in. if you don't want to, don't. uhm, just have fun and find the people who you enjoy being with and they enjoy being with you. that's why i had a terrible first two years. i had friends, but they were the wrong ones. they were terrible. but the most important thing i can tell you is, and i hate to say this, but believe me, i'm about to go into college, i just graduated, and i still regret the first two years of my high school career. i wish i had paid more attention to school itself rather than my friends. i had gotten a 2.0 gpa in my freshman year and failed one of my classes and had to pay 250 dollars for summer school. and sophomore year i got a 1.9 gpa and i knew i was better than that. when i actually started to care for school it was my junior year. that year i didn't bullsh.t my way through class. i actually paid attention, and stopped seeing my friends. and i got a 3.0. but my point is, pay attention to classes, and your friends, but make sure you actually do your work because i know it's cliche to say but, it really does affect your future. even, especially when you're a freshman

I'm going to be a sophomore next year but freshmen year was amazing. Unlike middle school I felt like important and this year was the year guys liked me unlike in middle school . My advice is to be open to new things, and new people. I barely talk to my middle school friends now, and I'm okay with that I met so many great supportive friends in all grades, and I have friends who graduated. I even have bonds with my teachers, they're not all bad give them a try. But it's stressful don't get me wrong it's completely different but once you allow yourself great things will happen .

My experience was good for the most part. I'll be a Junior next year. Join clubs and be in sports, get to know people! Don't be immature, and don't sweat the little things!! everything gets better in time i promise! You're going to have to take a leap of faith and try new things, (just don't get in trouble during the process). And stay on top of your school work or it'll get stressful! i know it sounds cheesy but do it... trust me! and most importantly; HAVE FUN! :)

my highschool experince was awesome. i'll be a sophomore next year but my freshman year was awesome!!!! if you hold yourself older than you actually are,the upperclassmen will respect you. and GET INVOLVED. join a club or two or three because there's nothing more satisfying than walking down the hall and knowing people know you. don't be scared, and put yourself out there.

Honestly if you can, I would try to make friends with the seniors. They made my life living hell my freshman year, later that year I made friends with them and it made things heck of a lot easier. Live it up.

Have a backbone, and don't take on to much responsibility. Remember to try to get good grades, but grades aren't the end of the world they're just a letter.
