Okay so I'm posting this here so that my friends can help me out when I need them. I would IM them, but I don't have the heart to interrupt them. This way they can reply if they wish and I won't be interrupting anything.

So you all know I'm struggling to improve in my ice skating. (If you didn't, now you do.) Yesterday my coach told me someting - and her words are true - which has been bothering me ever since.

"You have to get a spin. You can't go anywhere in the world of skating and succeed if you don't
have a spin. You'll need it in figure. To be competitive in ice dance, you'll need a spin.
_____ (name of synchro coach) might have you do spins in synchro sometime too. You wouldn't
want to let your team down just because you didn't have the guts to go out there and do it.
It's not hard to cross your foot. It's your leg. Just go out there and do it, I know you can!"
 
Sometime's I just get so frustrated.
She has no idea how much I do try
How much I want to succeed.

This is a spin I've been working on practically since I've started skating.

So I'd say 4 full years.


What she says is true. You really can't go anywhere if you don't have a spin.

From my expirience, the moment somebody gives up, they were closer to succees than they'd ever known.

I'm not giving up.

Yet I can feel I AM THAT CLOSE. I just don't know what else I need to do to get there.
