I was adopted.
Here's the story:
I was born when my mom was 16 and my dad was 18. They didn't want to keep me because my mom was too young and my dad was going to college.
Now they're married. They live, actually, around 40 minutes away from my house. I have a little brother, Aaron, who is 4 years old. My dad is a doctor and my mom is a stay at home mom. I was named after my dad, hence "Charles Junior."
My mom and dad said that my 15 year old sister and I were adopted because my parents were unable to have kids. But then a year after getting my sister they were able to have kids, so had two of their own. They told me my sister was adopted because I was 3 at the time and knew that she was, but for whatever reason hid from me that I was adopted.
Because I'm 18, my biological parents can't just take me back and claim me as theirs because I can make up my own mind.
But I don't know what I'm going to do.
I don't hate my biological parents because they didn't give me up out of carelessness, but because they had good reasoning of why I would be raised poorly if they had raised me. But I hardly know them and I might screw up their lives they have now.
But I don't want to leave my adopted family because I grew up with them and know them so well and love them.
But either way, next year is my senior year in high school and then I'm going to college, so whatever I do, I'm not really "living" with anyone for the next four years. And then I'm going to move out and get an apartment with my friends.
So I guess I'll just stay...

Woah, it's not everyday you find out you're adopted. So how do you feel about it? I'm guessing it's somewhat confusing. Hey, quick question, were your mother and Catherine somewhat friends? I mean, since she took the phone from you and things just so she could speak to your mother, they must have been fairly close..

It's a lot of stuff to take in. And my adopted mom said that she and Catherine met through the adoption and obviously haven't talked since then because she said "i never thought I'd see you again" or whatever it was she said.

but like in that other quote u were like this random lady came up to me and started freaking out because I looked like her husband when he was younger and then you were on the phone to your mom and then the lady took the phone and started speaking to her and they knew eachother and that husband even had the same name as you, so it had to be genetic so either you are related to your adopted mom or you're just making one of the quotes up...? :L Not trying to be a b.i.tch Im just a bit confused.....

ah .t sorry no like I just presumed that like that guy was your like a relation to your mother but like if your adopted how could you look like hime you know? but I get it now I read the other quote again and I get like that maybe hes not a relation, for some reason I just thought he was...! sorry! :)

Okay I think I see. Catherine (my biological mother) showed me a picture of her husband (my biological father). And the similarities of our appearances had her thinking that maybe I was the son she lost. Which I was

I'm adopted too. I am from Khabarovsk, Russia, and I have no idea who my birth parents are, or why I was given up for adoption.
I live in the US now, and I was in an orphanage until I was 16 months old. Soo, maybe I'll learn more. I'm gonna be 15 in August though.
I know my biological birth name, but I have no idea who else has the same last name. I don't know if I'll ever find out, but I might someday.

I would atleast get to know your bio family. Get to know your culture and stuff, and spend sometime with your brother. Who knows, maybe you can all be a happy family someday
