it wasn't meant to be rule-conforming. It was meant to be poetry.

thank you for the tip but I don't write by the rules, I write by my heart. Sorry it doesn't fit the standard, but I will still identify it as poetry because that's what it is.

i feel the way you do :) all of my poetry is free verse and free writing. its just my thoughts i dont take time to fit the rules

I'm glad you understand. The whole reason I write poetry is because I need to get everything off my chest and organize my thoughts a little bit. I don't need guidelines to do it.

I'm not saying it's bad because it is incredibly beautiful. The meaning behind it is amazing and you should be proud. If you like writing like this then do it. My writing teacher just drilled it into my head that I have to use stanzas and verses to create a flowing poem. I like this poem though. ^-^

It's good but it needs to be shortened up with less of a free writing feel to it and more stanzas and verses etc.
