I was by myself for most of my life, completely no friends. I would eat on my own at school, I would spend my breaks and lunch on my own reading, but now I've let people in to my life and now I regret everything, but now I've fallen for someone and yeah it's not been easy to revert back

Honestly I started letting people in 3 years ago and its so much better. Just let the right people in. Don't change back, just move forward...change the people you're with if it's that bad

It's only been 4 years for me and some have been good but most have been bad. I really didn't know how be friends with people, so I was a easy target. I've learnt my mistake but I would prefer to be like was before because I knew I wouldn't hurt myself and no one would hurt me. I do see your point though

You can always hurt yourself. You will be hurt no matter if you let people in or not. It's just easier with people you love to share all the times: good and bad
