No - it's ok. I just see the attitude a lot across a lot of venues like facebook, twitter, here, reddit, and even in programming help sites like stackoverflow. There was a time when kids respected "authority figures" including teachers, parents, and generally anyone older than they are. When I was a kid, we'd disrespect people behind their backs, but now it seems people have no problem disrespecting others to their face. Some cultures don't have this problem yet, but Western culture and the internet is changing that.

i get that....things have absolutely changed. in some ways, good. but in others, bad. :/ this is an example of the bad i guess. sorry again steve i really didn't mean it like that, and i would never disrespect anyone like this in real life. and i also don't encourage this behavior either...i just saw it and it was naturally funny to me. sorry !!

It's not the teacher's fault you missed breakfast. The sound of someone eating in class can be really freaking distracting for the other students and is disrespectful to the teacher as you're focused on eating, not what they're trying to teach you.

you can multi-task and also if we were allowed to eat in class, there would probably be more than one student eating :)

While I agree you should be allowed to eat in class, this attitude of entitlement common among your generation is not a great thing.
