Sunset
Prologue
Theres always that one who will
steal your heart.
They will give you the world and much more.
They will make you feel loved.
They will make you feel safe.
And then their gone. Your heart broken. Lost. Sad. Lonely.
And no matter what they did to hurt you. you know you would take
them back in a split second.
They would always have a place in your heart. And you can do
anything about it.
You can’t forget them. You can attempt to hate them but
know deep down you don’t.
This is what I call a first love.
We all have one. A first love. If you don’t yet you will
one day.
It’s a sweet n’ sour thing.
Something you love to have but hate that’s its gone when
it’s over.
Lots of people don’t want to fall in love. And I think
their missing out on a wonderful experience.
I know the heart break sucks but I think it’s still worth
it.
I don’t regret any of it. Every moment. Every
kiss. Every hug. Every fight. I want
to remember it all.
Because this person who I consider my first love showed me what
it was like to view the world from a different perspective.
He showed me what love is. He showed me things my parents tried
to keep me away from.
He made me try new things. Good and bad. He helped me experience
life in a way most people consider bad.
He also took me down a road in life that I never thought I would
take (but got off of).
A road that they warn kids in school not to take. The low road.
What churches consider sin.
The road your parents would ground you for if they knew.
And this is the experience I’m about to tell you. Because
one sunset, I meet Ryan Thornton.
