Well sometimes thigh gaps aren't something you can control. I have a completely natural one, and I don't stave myself. Am I ugly? No. Do guys not want to date me because of it? No. While this is a good quote and it's dumb that people crave thigh gaps, saying thigh gaps are ugly is just crossing a fine line.

Geez thanks guys... if I didn't already feel insecure enough already now i've got people saying my legs are weird looking, too far apart and bow legged. sorry that i'm not good enough but i always thought that it was "all shapes and sizes are beautiful" obviously i was wrong.

Obviously you should read down farther. No one said sepcifically that your legs are weird looking, too far apart, or look bow legged. The point of this quote was to show girls who don't naturally have a thigh gap, that they do not need one. I'm sorry that a lot of you are finding this offensive, that was not my intentions.

She never said anywhere in there that guys hate thigh gaps. Guys don't CRAVE thigh gaps on a girl. IF you have it naturally, than thats great, if not thats great too! guys don't care. if a guy cares what you look like he's an as-shole. What ever you look like you are perfect and beautiful anyway. And if people say that it makes your legs look weird or so, that's their opinion. it doesn't mean it has to be yours.

And some people have natural thigh gaps. Like me. So every time you say thigh gaps are disgusting or whatever, you forget those people who are naturally skinny, can't gain weight and it makes them feel self-concious. A thigh gap can be an indication of a healthy weight. My thigh gap is a natural one.
Sure, I appreciate you're trying to help others who are obsessing too much but always think about the others who you're upsetting too.

OK, it's good to not aim for a feature you don't have, but NO ONE should EVER call thigh gaps, or any other feature 'ugly.' Some girls have thigh gaps and like them. Some girls have them and don't like them. Calling that ugly is just as bad as saying you need one. Everyone needs to stop being such a f.cking hippocrite.

Sorry guys, hate to break it to you, but calling skinny girls 'ugly' isn't going anything.

I'm anorexic and I dont want to be.. i have a mental illness i see thigh gaps as skinny as perfect. Im sure a lot of girls on witty have a mental illness that makes then see themselves as fat even if they arent. so maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself because not everyones perfect. im not trying to be mean im just saying this could seriously hurt people.

It's a mental thing. You obviously don't understand how anorexics/bulimics/anybody with an eating disorder see themselves. I used to have anorexia, and I didn't stop until I had a thigh gap. You physically see yourself as disgusting and fat. I used to see myself in the mirror as a 300 pound girl, and now looking at pictures of me from 2-3 years ago, I was normal sized. It's literally just your thoughts getting to your head, and it sucks. It's like any other mental illness. It really gets to you.

I have a thigh gap, albeit a small one, and I honestly wish I didn't. It looks really weird. Honestly I just don't see what makes people think they're so great I didn't even notice them until a few months ago when tumblr/witty started becoming obsessed.

I am quite small and have always been quite skinny so I naturally have a thigh gap. I hate it because it makes my legs look really thin and bony and now everyone is saying that they are disgusting. Great. :/

They aren't disgusting. Its totally fine if you have them or if you don't. Somepeople speak before they think of others reactions, they don't realise the strong negative words will upset people but they aren't doing it to offend or hurt people's feelings :) Just ignore them, you're beautiful as you are.

I hate my figure..my legs look bow-legges...my hips are huge and having hip bones gives them a really weird shape. Other girls like this is stuff, but not me. I cant put on weight, no matter how hard I try, and because im growing it makes me seem really skinny (in a bad way)...I hate it. Just hate it.
