Sometimes I think that what the Mayans predicted was true. Maybe not an asteroid falling to Earth or a solar flare wiping out the existence of the planet, but the ongoing wars, mass murders, terrorism, animal cruelty, greed, lack of appreciation for other people and their cultures, religions, ethnicities, or the animals we live alongside, and the resources we blindly take advantage of. Look around you, the end of the world is already here.

There's plenty of evil in the world now, but there always has been. WW1, WW2, slavery, lack of civil rights, lack of human rights in general throughout history, and that's just in the last few centuries go back even further and the life expectancy was like 25 and even if you lived that long you most likely had been starved, ra.ped, and had to worry about your village being raided and burned to the ground constantly. The first war was fought in 2700 BC, the world is slowly becoming more civilized. I don't think I'd want to live in any other time.

Thank you! Everyone keeps saying how violence has never existed. When it did. Did no one pay attention in history?!?

The only reason incidents like the bombing seems so much worse is because of media. And the Internet. Which weren't around forever ago.
