Chapter Nine

We drove in silence for a bit and I sighed.
“I’m bored,” I said.
“Turn on the music,” Niall responded.
I did as he suggested and Some Kind of Wonderful by Michael Buble came on.
He laughed and bobbed in his seat a bit. That made me laugh… and then he started singing. Now, I’d really rather not have to explain all the incredibly strange things he was doing in that car, but I feel like this story wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t.
“All you have to do is touch my hand,” he sang dramatically and I laughed. “And show me you understand. And that something happens to me. That some kind of wonderful.”
“Now every time my little world seems blue. I just have to look at you. And everything seems to be. Some kind of wonderful,” I continued and he smiled.
“Now I know I can't express. This feeling of tenderness,” we sang loudly together, probably looking like idiots to the people in the cars around us. “There's so much I wanna say. But right words don't come my way. I only know when I'm in your embrace. Then this world seems a better place. And something happens to me. And it's some kind of wonderful.”
We laughed and continued singing. By the time we were done, we were at the flat.
“You’re gonna need help, right?” Niall asked, starting to open his door.
“No,” I said sarcastically. “I’m just in a wheelchair for fun and I can easily climb into the trunk and get it for myself.”
“Well, Jeez,” he said. “You don’t have to be so harsh.”
“Whoops,” I said sarcastically and he smiled.
I unbuckled myself and opened my car door. Niall came around with the wheelchair and helped me into it.
“You got it?” he asked and I nodded.
“Mmhm,” I hummed and he smiled.
“You know,” he started, as we headed inside, “you’re a lot shorter now.”
“No really?” I said sarcastically and he stuck his tongue out at me.
“Shut up,” he moaned and I laughed.
Halfway down the hallway, we ran into the other guys and girls.
“I found them!” Kyra shouted and we laughed.
“Are we really that late?” Niall asked and Sophie nodded.
“Yes,” she said. “Now turn around and get into Harry’s car.”
“Race you down the hall,” I said to Niall who smiled.
“You’re on,” he said, getting ready to run.
“On your mark, get set, GO!” I shouted, zipping down the hallway.
“No fair!” Niall shouted. “You’ve got wheels.”
“Yes I do!” I hollered back at him as I got to the front door.
“What do you think you’re doing?” the manager of the apartment building, Jeremy, asked.
“Having fun while being injured,” I responded and he sighed.
“Well I don’t think people enjoy you screaming down the hallway at nine o’clock in the morning,” he responded and I shrugged.
“Well we won’t be back for a while,” I said. “So you can start planning your celebration now.”
“Oo!” he said. “I’m going to go call the balloon store!”
Jeremy really hates us. No, like I mean he really really hates us. One time, we left the apartment for a week and he actually threw a party to celebrate. All of the adults in the apartment building showed up too.
By the time we got to the airport, we were a little late. By a little late, I mean we had to run to catch our flight, and I was pushed. We got onto the plane on time, though, and I was stuck sitting next to Niall.

Wait! I have an idea! Can I make like a sort of Sequel to this story called "Fun Sized" and It's in my POV (and others too) and it shows like my diff feelings for what happened, what is happening, and what is going to happen. do you think that's a good idea?
