Discovering
Destiny
Chapter 5 part 2: Aislinn's
P.O.V.
“Are you kidding me?” Ryan asked disbelievingly.
“YES! IN YOUR FACE RYAN!” Steve yelled, pointing at
Ryan.
“Finally!!” Bridget high-fived James and laughed.
“You rock, Aislinn!” James laughed.
“Sorry Ry, you shouldn’t have taught me how to
play.” I shrugged playfully and he pointed at me, a look of
determination on his face.
“This isn’t over. I never lose this game. You just
got lucky.”
“Sure I did, because I’m the luckiest girl in the
world, clearly.” I said sarcastically, but no one else
really got what I was implying because they didn’t know
what I’d been through. And I didn’t want them to find
out, I was too afraid they’d treat me like a charity case.
I didn’t want sympathy; I just wanted to have fun. And I
was, I really liked Ryan and his friends, and it seemed like they
liked me too.
“I’m gonna get going, it’s getting chilly and I
have to get up early tomorrow. Thanks though, I had a lot of
fun!” I smiled as I stood up from the table.
“Hey, anytime! Actually, we’re going to Universal
next week, you should come with us!”
“Yeah, that’d be fun!” I smiled.
“Great! I’ll get your number from Ryan later and text
you about it.” Bridget smiled.
“Sounds good. Bye guys!” I turned and started
walking. I heard footsteps and within a few seconds Ryan fell
into step beside me. “No, you don’t have to walk me
home. I’m fine, go back and play with everyone!”
“Aislinn, we’ve been through this before, and
I’m walking you home whether you want me to or not.
“Alright, alright, I won’t fight you.”
“Sorry you never found your friends, I hope they
weren’t worried.”
“Don’t worry about it; I had a good time
anyways.” I smiled at him. “Your friends are really
nice.”
“Yeah,” he laughed, “they’re a little
wacky.”
I smiled but didn’t say anything. Conversations with
people, especially boys, were not my strong suit. Not after
Will.
“Oh so what did you mean earlier? When you said you
didn’t have the best luck?”
“Maybe I’ll tell you some other time.” I smiled
mirthlessly and Ryan just nodded.
“So did you still want to go to the drive-in tomorrow
night?” He tried to change the subject.
“What movie is playing?”
“I think P.S. I Love You, but I’m not
sure.”
“Oh, I’ve never seen it.”
“How have you not seen it? Do you know what it’s
about?” He was shocked.
“No clue. Is it good?”
“Okay. That’s it. You’re definitely coming.
It’s a chick flick, but it’s so good. I love it.
I’m making you come whether you want to or not.”
“Okay,” I said laughing, “So I’ll see you
tomorrow then?”
“Tomorrow it is.” He grinned. “Goodnight,
Aislinn.”
Okay I'm really sorry
it's so bad and that I haven't
updated in like 3 years but I'm going to be better I
promise!
I wrote that chapter a while ago but I really didn't like it
and I've tried
to edit it so many times, and that's why it took me so
long.
So I eventually just gave up and left it as is.
So it's just a filler, but I hope it was decent...
ALRIGHT THANKS FOR READING I LOVE YOU!
