OMG THANK YOU. It's turned into some big social issue, and it's not even a big deal. It's like, vote for whatever you believe, move on. You can't just vote away trafficking, it's always going to be there, and we've got to do what we can to stop it!

There are so, so, so many horrible things we could talk and argue about. Gay marriage is just one of our biggest problems, personally, so we tend to talk about that more.

I would just like to point out the absurdity of this comment. I believe in gay marriage, but that does not mean someone that is against it is not allowed to speak out about it. Gay marriage debates do not have a 'right' and 'wrong' side to them. there is no right or wrong when it comes to opinions. trafficing isn't controversial. there isn't any normal human being who doesn't think trafficing is terrible. It's all about publicity and the arrogance of Americans. Americans LOVE drama. That's why things like abortion and gay marriage get so much attention. People can argue over it and get angry. Americans thrive on that. It's actually embarassing. (I am American, and not all americans are that way, just most of them). Just like when a "celebrity" overdoses on drugs and dies or a "celebrity" gets arrested for drugs it gets more attention than the heros we have fighting for us overseas every day. It's all about publicity and attention. It's ridiculous.

Yes, trafficking is important. Yes, it is something that should be dealt with. So is equality though. There is no reason whatsoever that the fight for equality should be put on hold in order to stop trafficking. Doing so would make no sense because the two are completely unrelated. The fight to legalizing gay marriage isn't just fighting for gay marriage. It's fighting for equal rights. It's fighting to create a world where all people are seen as equal, the way it is supposed to be. One where I can walk down the street holding hands with a girl one day and a guy the next without fear of being harassed for it. One where my private life isn't governed by the religious beliefs of people I don't even know and my safety isn't threatened by bigots.
There is no logical reasoning for halting the fight for equality, much less for something that isn't related to it in the slightest.

Woah what? That means that people who have different religious beliefs aren't married? So a muslim person isn't actually married to their husband and wife? So an atheist isn't married to their husband or wife? You're very ignorant. Gay marriage is actually a great thing to fight for because everyone deserves to be equal. Why not fight for both? And it's specifically stated in the Constitution that there should be a separation of church and state. I'm an atheist, so when I get married, I don't think it will matter whether or not "God's" opinion matters. I'm also pansexual, meaning that I see people as personalities. I could get married to a girl. Who know's? Who are you to say that making love official isn't important? Before you voice an opinion, make sure you know your facts.

It's widely recognized in society that the law should not be governed by the church. Not everyone is religious, and of those that are, not all believe in God.
God's opinion does not matter more than the State's in this case. Not at all.

Divorce, haircuts, wearing clothes of different fabrics, planting two different types of seeds in the same field, breeding cows with different species and eating them. So when you have never gotten a haircut, always where the same fabrics, have a garden with one type of flower, and have eaten purebred beef, then you can talk to me.

My dance teacher started this thing called love justice to raise awareness for trafficking and we also raised money for this place called oasis of hope its a place that takes trafficking victims in and helps them recover. If u go on youtube and search love justice melissa carney and click on the first video and it shud b the video of love justice 2013 it wuz really awesome this year
