What I really don't like is the idea that self worth is equated with fashion choice. Why should someone covered from head to toe in material get any more respect that someone who is practically naked? I don't dress provocatively because I don't like my body. So if someone is confident and loves the way they look enough to want to show it off, why should they be any less deserving of respect?
The answer? They shouldn't be.

Judging any one based on the clothes they wear or what they do in their personal life is wrong. It promotes sexism and dehumanizes people, men and women both. It makes women into objects and puts a unfair stigma around female sexuality. It makes men seem like brutes who judge women based on their looks. Neither is true.

I agree with br0kenwings.
While I agree with you that not being kind is not okay, there is nothing wrong with dressing like that. If someone has enough confidence and feels good dressing like that there is no reason they shouldn't be able to.

Um, the clothes you wear and the skin you expose has nothing to do with the amount of self respect you have. If a girl feels confident and comfortable with short skirts and low-cut tops, then what business do you have criticising her? It IS their choice, and you have no godd*mn right to tell a girl she is worth less just because she wears clothes that you wouldn't. Wearing revealing clothes doesn't make a girl a 'h0e' or a 's|ut', it makes her a girl who is confident in her body. Shaming other girls for what they wear (and any decsions they make in regards to their s*x life) doesn't make you 'better' or more worthy of respect. Girls shouldn't have to be covered from head to toe to be respected. Girls don't have to be sweet and virginal, having a s*xlife is nothing to be ashamed of, and quotes like this just make girls feel like t and promote s*xism. I hate this site so much omg.

This is just perfection. Just because you've had a hard past doesn't mean that you should go around with your boobs and butt out and letting everyone living creature get inside your pants. It'll just make things worse for yourself.

They can do what they want to because there is nothing wrong with wearing revealing clothing and being promiscuous if that is what they want to do. To each their own.

Look i'm not here to start trouble but i think that maybe you should learn the background of a girl like that before you judge them because even if you do make your own decision people are heavily influenced by what happens around them so don't judge people when you know their past

What I really don't like? People thinking that policing a person for what they choose to wear is okay. Clothes /do not/ determine a persons worth. If someone is confident of their body, then they have every right to show it the hell off. You're right, it is OUR choice. It is OUR choice to wear what we want, not YOURS. My body =/= your body, so please, do not try to enforce your requirements for being a "nice girl" upon others.
