A tattoo just goes across the surface of the skin (unless you're getting your ribs done, then the needle might get stuck a few times), whereas giving blood requires it actually, you know, SINKING INTO YOUR FLESH.

I gave blood a couple days ago. Lost consciousness a couple minutes after. Got dragged to ER. Not pleasant.

It's only for the first year, it's to make sure you wouldn't spread any diseases and such, and I think I'm not postive, you could get ink poisoning and there's a risk of spreading it. I also think it depends on which state you're in.

If you have to many, then the ink level in your blood is too high. At least thats what my cousin said

No you don't. You give a pint, and have to wait at least 56 days before donating again, and times that by 7 that's 392... and there only 365 days in a year...
