An Unknown
Land
-Chapter Eight-
Lucas pushed Kara up against the wall, putting his lips less
than an inch away from hers, "Still trust me?"
He breathed
"Of course I do," Kara's heart was racing.
"You're probably wondering why I called you into
here," One of Lucas' arms was on the small of
Kara's back and the other was pushe up against the wall;
blocking her in.
"A little bit, yeah."
"Well I'm wonderng why you bought the type of
clothes you were so put out about wearing earlier," His
eyes looked her up and down again.
"Kaely insisted I get these, she said they live
secretive lives so odds are no one would question why I
suddenly showed up," Kara flicked her eyes down to
Lucas' lips.
"So Kaely is the reason you'll be dressed like this
from now on?"
"Yeah I guess."
"Remind me to thank Kaely," Lucas rushed his words
and before Kara knew it, they were kissing. Her arms
snaked around his neck; pulling him closer to her. They
turned around so that Lucas was up against the wall now.
Kara's hands ran through his hair; tousling his
brown curls. Lucas gently bit Kara's lip, causing
her to scratch at his back.
Suddenly, Lucas stopped. "Let's go for a
walk."
"A walk? Now?" Kara knew her confusion
was plastered on her face.
"Do you want a repeat of earlier?" Lucas
cocked his head to the side.
"Good point. Let's go for a walk."

Lucas and Kara walked hand in hand through the tunnel, not
saying a word.
"You know what's weird?" Kara broke the
silence and sat down on the cold ground.
"What?" Lucas followed suit.
"That this," Kara kissed him softly,
"Doesn't feel weird."
"I told you that you were my other half," Lucas
smiled.
"Yeah but you also said it didn't have to be
romantically," Kara laughed.
"But did that mean that I didn't want it to be?
Not even a little
bit."
