The Lie.
Chapter 39: Part 2
*Katia's POV*
"So now that everyone is
here lets talk," the gruff voice made me jump. My eyes shot
away from Louis and over to the desk. Sitting behind it was Simon
and he didn't look happy.
Zayn
slid over and sat down on the arm of the chair Harry was sitting
in. Louis turned around to face Simon, but not without winking at
me first. I slightly rolled my eyes at him and then looked back
at Simon. He was watching us, me specifically.
"You may sit, you don't have to
stand," he said it as if I was stupid. I looked over to
where Mia was standing just moments before and realized she had
moved. She was now sitting in a chair next to Niall (I don't
really know where all of these chairs were coming from, they just
seemed to show up).
Once
I realized I was on the only one still standing I felt like an
idiot. Way to go Katia, great first impression, now he is going
to think you're stupid. I beat myself up as I looked around
for an extra chair, hoping one would just show up for me like
they seemed to for everyone else. After a moment I walked over
and sat the arm of Mia's chair. I meekly smiled at Simon to
signal I was ready.
He
looked away from me and over to Niall. "Liam has told me
what is going on but I want to hear it from you." Niall took
a deep breath and then launched into his story. He has to of told
it 5 times now, but it didn't differ much. It sounded exactly
like the one he told me in Liam's kitchen.
Once
Niall finished talking Simon pursed his lips. He sat there for a
moment like that. "Well, looks like you have cleaning up to
do."
"Yes sir," Niall sheepishly
responded.
"How do the rest of you feel about
this?" Simon looked at the rest of us, his gaze resting on
each one of us individually for a moment.
Liam
was the first to offer any opinions. "I think Niall made a
stupid mistake. He shouldn't of gotten that drunk. But he did
and now he has a son, which can be taken as an up or a down
depending on how you look at it." Most of us nodded in
agreement.
"And with Tessa being sick he is just
going to have to step up to the plate," Zayn added.
Simon nodded at him and then looked over at Mia.
"How do you feel about all of this? You
are still dating him, correct?" he questioned
her.
She
stumbled for words for a moment, "Umm... well umm...
yes."
"Yes what?" he asked.
"Yes I am still dating him," she said
with more confidence.
He
sat back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Why? He cheated on you, lied to you, treated you like
garbage. Why not dumb his dumb.ss?"
"Because even though he cheated and lied
to me and everything, I know that he truly would take it all back
if he could. He made a mistake, and even though I'm hurt by
it I'm giving him a second chance. He is going to have to
regain my trust, he is going to have to work for things to be how
they used to," she took a deep breathe before finishing.
"But I still love him and when you love someone you accept
them for their faults and mistakes." She looked over at me
and smiled, she was quoting me from our fight. I smiled back at
her as Simon nodded.
"Good answer," was all he said at
first. "Niall I have decided what we are going to
do."
