The Letter. THE CHANGE.
The Lie.
Chapter 39: Part 1
*Katia's POV*
"Simon?" I gulped.
Harry nodded causing his curls to
slightly bounce, "He wants to see all of us,
now."
I sat back in the seat. I was going
to see Simon Colwell. I don't know why but that made me
incredible nervous. Okay scratch that, I do know why. He could
completely hate me. What if he does hate me and then I can't
date Louis? Did it even work like that? Can he do that? Do I even
want to date Louis? I mean.... I don't know what I
mean.
My mind whirled with thoughts the
entire ride. It wasn't until we were almost there that I even
thought about how Mia was dealing with this. Obviously we were
going there to talk about Milo, a subject still iffy for her. He
is probably going to need to know from Mia where she stands on
the subject, which she doesn't even know. She had to be
freaking out.
I thought about looking over at
her, to see if she was as nervous as I thought or at least as I
was but I couldn't do it. I was too stuck in my thoughts, I
could barely focus on the seat in front of me.
Far to soon we were there. I was
still lost in my thoughts as Harry parked his car and we all
climbed out of the car. I shut the door and looked up at the
looming building. It seemed terrifying and almost threatening. I
felt like it was going to turn into Monster House and eat me...
or maybe I was just afraid the man inside the house would eat me.
I tried to remember everything I had heard about Simon from the
boys as opened the front gate.
I walked though and couldn't
help but think that the cold iron gate reminded me of prison.
Harry was in front of me and lead the way to the door. I could
feel Mia and Niall trailing behind me, most likely hand in hand.
Harry knocked on the door and then took a step back.
I don't know why but I thought
Liam would open the door so I was surprised when I saw Zayn. His
face was emotionless as he stepped aside to let us in. That only
added to my nervousness. Instead of waiting for everyone Harry
continued to walk through the house. I stopped though, and
waiting for Mia and Niall.
Zayn was the one who ended up
taking us to what ever room we were supposed to be in. It was at
the end of a long hallway and the door was open. From where I was
it looked like a study of sorts and I thought I could see the
edge of a desk.
I was the last one to walk through
the wooden door frame. I instantly scanned the room. It was a
study. Shelves made up most of the walls and were all filled with
books. It was light in there, with both of the giant windows open
to let light in. I saw Liam sitting in one of the chairs that had
been pulled over in front of the desk. He was worried and that
sent my heart racing. I looked at the chair next to him and saw
Louis. He was already looking at me and I suddenly realized I was
still dressed for our date. I blushed slightly and chewed on the
inside of my lip.
